Congrats to Sushil on another milestone achievement! He is now among the best in the world and seems to be getting better. Hopefully, he can do well in CWG and AG and then keep going till the 2012 Olympics.

Tremendous achievement by Sushil Kumar. He now has an Olympic medal and the World title. He rates this one high, though. He should win the CWG and then perhaps the Asian Games also. Wish him luck. He is a true champion, so down to earth.

Congrats, Sushil. You have made us proud again. It is also nice to see that our Olympians do not just disappear after one medal or a career-best at Olympics, thinking they have already reached all they could have in their career.

a very touching article about winning the world championship in his own words plus a rather stupid, arrogant behavior by our ministers. there are videos in youtube of MS Gill pushing back sushil's mentor satpal.

US tour will help us for the Olympic qualifiers
The federation will select two wrestlers from each weight category for training in the United States in January. The selection trials for women will be conducted in Patiala on Saturday.
In US, we will do high-altitude training and our focus will be on endurance work. We will get to train with American and Cuban wrestlers there which will help us improve our technique ahead of the qualifying meets,

India's Amit Kumar and Sushil Kumar won a gold medal each in the Dave Schultz Memorial International Wrestling Tournament in the United States ... They were there for taking training with USA wrestlers in combined training programme at Olympic Training Centre, Colorado Springs.

Two gold medals for India in Wrestling in USA

Thanks Jaydeep. It's good to see Sushil Kumar quietly staying in form. I have hopes on a medal in Olympics from him. Jay

Hopefully, Sushil Kumar will be in contention for an Olympic medal. In addition to the 2 Kumar golds in the freestyle, another Kumar won a gold in the greco-roman style in the same tournament as well. I don't think this was a super tough field as many of the winners are sprinkled in the top-10 US wrestling lists for their respective weight classes.
