I can't chat!!!

Been using the chat for the last few days and gett getting booted every few mins even though I am not idle. Version 6 IE.

All those who can't connect to the chat using the applet on the site can do the following.

Go to www. polarhome. com Click of the chat client button (top left). Then enter the following

Nickname: (Your choice)
Server: irc.dixiesys.com:6667
Channel: #Sports-India

This should work for all of you unless ofcourse we have too many clients in the chat room.

Dhruv, I can get into the chat session using the above method you have posted.

However, if I use the chat session via the Sports-India forum I get the following message:

Connecting...
[00:56] Unable to connect : java.net.SocketException : Software caused connection abort: connect
not on a channel

The screen is white. I am using XP professional and IE. I checked and Java is enabled.

Bsharma try again. It happenes to me also. But when I try it again by refreshing the window it gets connected. I am sure you must have done that but incase you didn't.............

Interestingly, I can log in using my old computer but my son is using it right now. I am using my new laptop and it is giving me problems.

Dhruv I cant get into the chat room. IRC is blocked here in my college. Is there any other way for me to get into the chat.
