Get well soon Sameer. By the way had you taken both vaccines?
Yes, taken both covaxin, completed in April.

Oh no! Take care Sameer. Get well soon. Do you have any idea as to how you got infected?
No idea. Have been going to office regularly. But nobody in the office has got it and have been travelling in my own car. The only think I can think of is me and my office collegue went to a restaurant in Saturday afternoon. Maybe from there. And that collegue already had covid few months back and he may have stronger anitibodies.
Hopefully your fever has come down and you are feeling better. What medicines are they giving?
Typically restaurants, especially the indoor ones are blamed for the spread here in US.
Best wishes to Ankit too. I am looking forward to celebrating when both of them are back here and declare that they are cured.
I teach in a small room. Two students in my class got COVID out of 20 odd. Luckily they sit at the back of the room. It is a project-based class though. So, I walk up and down the class and talk to different groups working. I am triple-vaccinated though my third shot was recently and has possibly not created the full amount of antibodies yet. Hoping I do not get it.
Unfortunately the fear of the diesease is not going away. The fear is of being one of less than the 0.5% of total population that gets infected and dies of it. Even worse are those who have survived but are very weak. The harm done by bodies defence mechanism against the virus has created more fear than the virus itself.
Praying for everyone's health. Hope the Sameer and Ankit recover soon and may there be no scare for Prasen.
Thank you , feeling much better after a horrible week .. did isolate myself right after Day 1 to make sure no one in family got the fever .. still ended up passing it to little one who is now also in recovery mode .. I did couple of tests and have had a positive and negative both so hard to know if I am down with Covid or not .. at this point Doctors are more worried for Dengue compare to Covid …

How are the platelet counts? That is crucial to monitor for Dengue.

So relieved to hear the news. Getting Covid by itself doesn't worry us as much, but when one gets admitted in hospital the worries get elevated. Take some more rest and get back at leisure, Sameer.
