Playing in Indian conditions versus in CN conditions probably also makes a difference. Good show by India at home.
Re: India to host Women's Asian Champions Trophy 2023
Yes. Only 4 of the Asian Games' team sent to the ACT. Korea have sent a young experimental team.did China send their 2nd rung players for this championship? if they haven't, from 0-4 drubbing @ Asian games to 2-1 now is good turn around!
We played very well today, but we have to factor in the number of times Korea just gave p possession. They also seemed to be lacking in fitness/stamina by Q3 and especially Q4.

Re: India to host Women's Asian Champions Trophy 2023
We again beat Korea in the SF although by much lower margin of 2-0 and Japan beat China 2-1 in the other SF.
So, India meet Japan in final today (Sunday).

Good win in the final. However, we have definitely regressed under this coach. Selections continue to handicap us. No drag flicker at the Asian games being a prime example of this stupidity. Rani Ramphal has been dropped for no clear reason.

Re: Women's Hockey Asian Champions Trophy
If the govt funds this much, how do charters expect no govt involvement in the functioning of the federations running the sport affairs. It’s always an enigma to me. The govt gives lands, builds stadia, provides security, etc. Is it supposed to be a one-way street? At least in India, I don’t understand how the non-interference can coexist within the charter expectations.
