He also missed a near tap-in putt on the final hole which would have won both the individual and team title and nearly doubled his winnings from the tournament…

Anirban has won an astonishing $23MM on the LIV golf tour over the last 3 years. Sahith Theegala has won around $18MM in the last 3 years on the PGA tour and that is 11th most on that tour over that time period. So, Anirban has really made out by going on the LIV tour considering that he was mostly outside the top 50 on the PGA tour in earnings in any given year.

Are these guys doing anything with all this money, to help Golf improve in India? They are not even in the news much.

It seems like monopoly money. Will they take over IPL or start a competing league?
Indian origin is quietly world no 11.. Akshay Bhatia is ranked 25, but is more hyped.

^^^^22 year old Akshay is younger than Sahith and hence likely has a higher ceiling. He almost won his 3rd PGA tour title a couple of weeks ago before faltering over the last few holes. Had he closed the deal, I believe that he would have been only the 5th or 6th player ever to have won 3 PGA tour titles before turning 23. He has still has a few more months to win his 3rd title (before turning 23) which would be a very rare age group achievement.
