Lakshya Sen is the lone Indian who made QF. Everyone else lost.

I think SatChi are pretty good most of the time. Generally, their struggles are injury related which also appears to be a reason for their unexpected loss in the previous tournament. Hopefully, they are fully fit for the Olympics.

We have 49 days for the Olympics to start. That's enough preparation time for the players to work on different areas of strengths and weakness.
It's only in MD that we have a top 5 ranking and Satwik/Chirag have the potential to go all the way. If they get complacent or lose focus they can suffer an early exit.

MS are not current favourites but Indian MS are unpredictable and can beat anyone one day and lose to anyone another. Prannoy might make it to semis if he improves his fitness and brings out his big match temperament. Lakshya Sen has beaten top players and has the potential to go all the way if he plays with confidence. Lakshya is not a favourite so it will be an upset if he goes past the semis.

WS Sindhu has to build and maintain a high level of fitness. She has the skills and has to focus on playing the right shots at the right time. She tends to lose focus at crucial moments and makes silly mistakes. She has the potential to go all the way if she plays confidently.

WD Ashwini/Tanisha have never been in the top 10 and have not beaten most of the top 10 players. This is a huge challenge for them and just making the semis would be an achievement. It would be a miracle if they manage to get even a bronze medal. They were able to handle the pressure of qualifying for the Olympics, if they can use that confidence they may cause a few upsets but a medal is a distant prospect.

There is the chance that badminton returns with 0, 1, 2 medals.

I have generally seen that our players fare better in big events than at the regular tour events as they prepare well for that. Could be a results of that we have 13 year streak at olympic/world championships where we have won at least 1 medal in that big event.

If SatChi are fit (i.e., not injured), they would probably be among India's best bets for an Olympic medal.

Among the long shots, Sindhu and Lakshya look like they are in decent form but will need to be at their peak to medal.
