This week they had a first round loss against pair of Guido Andreozzi (ITA,99) and Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela (MEX,75) 36 67(5) at Delray Beach ATP 250. This looked a winnable match from them as Ani-VSP combined ranking of 172 is sightly better than combined ranking of opposite pair of 174.
Anyway, these are early stages for them on ATP tour.
Next week they are 1 out from Los Cabos ATP in Mexico and the following week they have made the entry list at Santiago ATP in Chile.

They can play a few higher prize challgengers after playing all these ATP tournaments. So irrespective of how they fair, they should keep trying. One good result is all that they need to make it to the top.

True, they need to mix in ATP tour events and challengers till they stabilize to a ranking in 60's. In March, anyway they wont be getting into Indian Wells and Miami draws, so they can play challengers there. They have 160 points losing out in last week of Feb/1st week of March which if they are not able to defend they can drop out of top 100. Than another 125 dropping in April. So, they need to pick up around 250-300 points somewhere till end April to move up from current rankings and stay in contention for French open main draw. Need 1-2 challenger titles unless there is a deep run coming in one of the ATP events.

Clearly this round of ATPs have not worked for them. But still good effort. I guess it's back to challenger circuyfor them. And then one more attempt.

^^^ Well, they have won the R1 this week, and made some decent money and points, as you posted in the Houston ATP thread... Hope they will get many more!

And with that win in Houston, VSP back into top 100 at #93 and Aniruddh at # 105. They had gone down a bit in rankings after competing in a lot of ATP events recently and not winning much. Good to see them get a win at ATP level.
