The biggest result was Satwik-Ashwini upsetting the 2nd seeds in mixed doubles.

We have Srikanth, Sai Praneeth, Ajay Jayaram, Sourabh Verma, Sindhu, Satwik-Chirag, Satwik-Ashwini and Ashwini-Sikki Reddy in the 2nd round. Hope some of them can go deep.

Hope one of them can win the title and hoping for 2 finalists from the 3 semi finalists. Srikanth has the toughest semi since he faced Viktor Axelsen

Disappointed about Satwik-Chirag's loss. These are the kind of matches they need to win if they need to move up higher. Losing to lower ranked opponents is not acceptable. Sindhu faces Marin in the final. Runner up trophy assured.

Sindhu did indeed win the runners-up trophy with a tame loss in the final.

Srikanth can take something from the fact that he won the most points (32) of anyone that played Axelson who won the mens title without dropping a game.

Sindhu is our silver-master (mistress sometimes has a different connotation), her 2019 gold notwithstanding (compared to silvers in the major singles championships: Olympics, 2 x world championships, 1 asiad, 1 commonwealth, and even in the 1 South Asian games).

I was expecting her to lose but not this badly. Her gap with Marin and Tai has become huge.

True, probability of Sindhu winning a medal at Tokyo Olympics has gone down drastically in last 1 year or so. Apart from Marin and Tai, there are Japanese and Chinese girls who did not play here. Also Intanon. So, I would put probably if Sindhu only at 10 to 15% now.

Too much ego of our guys.... The coaches who left said so...these players think too much of themselves. But these are all here say. Hope a good performance proves everything wrong. But so many international coaches leaving giving the same reason isn't a good sign.

PV Sindhu knows how to peak for the really important events. She does much better than her ranking at the Olympics and World Championships. So I remain optimistic about her Tokyo gold medal prospects :-) although the Japanese will be formidable at home.

Silver. I am optimistic of a silver. She always gets a silver. :-) [Except in one case.]
