Kyle Jamieson was blooded a bit late. He is over 25. They let him mature. He played for Canterbury for five years. And now plays for Auckland.

The importance of working with the bowlers to improve their batting is unquestionable. But, it is important these guys know how to bowl too. We have a lot of people who do neither.

Shaw and Mayank both have failed in this series. Kohli has failed so far. Technically, Rahane, Pujara, Vihari have looked to get settled and then got out. I hope they put India over 250 at least.

^ hopefully Shivam Mavi can be that for us. Showed genuine pace and batting potential as an u19.

For now, I do not mind him being considered for tests or ODIs. He has been a headless chicken in T20s. Mavi.

Actually, while we are expecting bowlers to bat I wonder why none of our batsmen bowl. How handy someone like Ganguly or a Tendulkar would have been in NZ as a bowler who could bowl 10-12 overs.

Yes so many byes but interestingly Pant only gave 4!!

And Kohli gone!!

As expected, we are back to kumar etc. having to score runs to have something to bowl at. Just as I’d predicted.

Stupidity. Nobody has been play the short ball to the legside. He just got another one on his helmet trying to pull. Yet, they want to play this ball. On this count, Pujara has got it right. I wish he tried placing and driving the other balls a bit more to score some more runs though.

I thought he used to play short pitch delivery well. I wonder if it is the swinging short ball that is causing the issue?

Rahane is a moron. Just leave the short balls, tire them out, ball gets old and force them to bowl non-short. They have to get the wickets too.

What can one say? Paddle drive the ball onto your legstump. Horrible innings by Rahane.

Now Pujara goes ; most of the guys who can score quickly don’t know have skills to survive for long . One guy who knows how to hang around for 100 balls does not know how to score ..

They are in a hurry to leave NZ. Maybe they’re scared that coronavirus is on the cricket ground. How else does one explain such a poor performance.
