Re: Indian domestic cricket/ players
In West Indies, the ball may not swing much. Will Bhuvi be able to take wickets in such conditions? Do we have any evidence? I will have to check his record. This is what the team management thinks when it chooses Ishant over Bhuvi.

Prithvi Shaw I understand has been banned till Nov 15 for doping. He took some banned cough syrup.

How does that help a batsman? He hits the ball harder? Certainly doesn't help with technique or timing...

Could our bowlers and the captain learn from what is going on in England-Australia test match now? When will our tail learn to just hang in there and provide crucial runs when needed?

Murali Vijay will be signing up with Somerset soon in order to help that county chase the county championship; they are second in the table at the moment.

India A are hosting South Africa A. In the first ODI at Thiruvananthapuram, India A won by 69 runs, with Axar Patel (60* off 36 balls; 2 for 39 in 8 overs) the Man of the Match (outdoing Krunal Pandya). Shubman Gill (46 off 47), Manish Pandey (39 off 42), Ishan Kishan (37 off 32) and Shivam Dube (79 off 60) were among the runs. Chahal got 5/47 with the ball. (A bit unfair to play Chahal in the India A side..).

The Duleep Trophy has become a meaningless tournament among three trial teams -- India Red, Green, Blue. Akshath Reddy (opener) shone in the latest innings with 146.

The case of ex-Indian opener Prithvi Shaw is rather murky. Sad state of affairs. Is Shaw's strength built using spinach? He has other skills too and I hope someone advises him on the need to keep it clean when he returns.

Re: Indian domestic cricket/ players
As I said before, I am certain that he took it consciously and deliberately. The tale he is trying to spin is a common one amongst Indian athletes.
He will do his suspension and should be given a fair chance after. If he is caught again, throw him out permanently.

Re: Indian domestic cricket/ players
For what it is worth, Abhimanyu Easwaran had an outstanding Duleep Trophy final, making 153 in a match in which no other batsman reached 50!
Unadkat got 4 wickets in the first innings for the winners, and 33-year-old offspinner Wakhare (from Vidharbha, two-times reigning Ranji champions) got 5/13 in the second innings, spinning his side to an innings victory.
Team India was away in WI, India A was playing South Africa, so this was a tournament between the third string India contenders (divided into 3 teams).
