Gaganjeet Bhullar - World Rank 89
Gaganjeet Bhullar, who is 21 yr old, has becomes the youngest Indianto win on a tour when he won Indonesian Open. He is from the young generation who have grown up following the exploits of Jeev, Jyoti and Arjun on international scene. Expectation from Gagan are so high that he is already being compared with Jeev Milkha Singh Whether he'll be another Jeev or not, only future will tell, but it is sure that the Indian golf fans have found a new talented star to follow. Hr deserves a new thread on his own.

Re: Gaganjeet Bhullar: Wins Indonesian Open
Prem, You made a little mistake. His ranking is not 155, but 255. Still, quite an achievement. And yes, he is the 3rd highest rated Indian after Jeev (41), Jyoti (159).Prem wrote:Gaganjeet moves to 155 in world rankings and is the 3rd highest ranked Indian

Yes, it is very exciting to have a 21-year-old Indian golfer already starting to make waves internationally at that young age. That he won on the APGA tour, and qualified for the British Open at 21, bodes very well for a long and successful career. Good luck to Gaganjeet Bhullar!

Following his victory in Indonesian Open, Bhullar displayed yet another remarkable performance in Brunei Open to finish runnerup in the third playoff holes. Great job Gaganjeet! Keep it up!

Re: Gaganjeet Bhullar: Wins Indonesian Open
With poor 10 over second round Gaganjeet's trip to Japan shortened ... In second round he take 3 strokes extra to complete 3rd hole and then gone 1 better on next hole, needed 4 extra shots to complete 4th hole ... Then also scored a double bogey and couple bogeys on his remaining holes.

Re: Gaganjeet Bhullar: Wins Indonesian Open
Gaganjeet Bhullar reached his best ever ranking of 108 after an excellent performance in CIMB Classic where he made it into top 10 in a tough field. He is knocking at the door of top 100. His previous best was 115 in July 2010. Bhullar, along with only other Indian Jeevmilkha Singh, plays another big tournament this week, the WGC event HSBC. Jeev with a rank of 96 is the only Indian right now in top 100. Bhullar is in striking distance of Jeev to takeover the title of No 1 Indian golfer.

Re: Gaganjeet Bhullar - World Rank 98
Gaganjeet Bhullar breaks into the top 100 ranking for the first time.
T18 performance in stellar WGC - HSBC event reward him with enough points to jump 10 places and reach World ranking of 98. Jeev Milkha Singh at WR 95 is still the best Indian player but barely. Next event for Bhullar along with Jeev and few others is the Barclays Singapore Open co-sponsored by European and Asian tour. Bhullar can very well become the best Inidan player next week.

Re: Gaganjeet Bhullar - World Rank 98
As I said in the previous post, Gaganjeet Bhullar had chances and he converted it to become the best Indian golf player on the base of rankings. Thanks to his T22 finish at Singapore tournament, this week Bhullar's world ranking is 89, i.e. he moved 9 spots. Jeev Milkha Singh lost one spot (attribute it to Bhullar surpassing him) and his world ranking is 96.
This week Bhullar is playing in Hong Kong open and once again the field has World #1 Rory McIlroy. Once again he has a good chance to improve his ranking to probably at lower 80s. Last week in Singapore Open both McIlroy and Bhullar started the 4th round tied T13 but McIlroy finished 3rd (thanks to a great 4th round of 6 under par 65) whereas Bhullar's dropped down to T22 courtesy his worst round of 1 overpar.
Currently, theses are the rankings for top Asian players, Bhullar is 7th best Asian while Jeev is 9th. . Bhullar has a good chance to become the 5th best Asian next week.

Re: Gaganjeet Bhullar - World Rank 89
Gaganjeet Bhullar gets his European Card!!!
He finished 110th on the money list to get the last card....
This is the first he will have a European card.
SSP Chowrasia lost his card but managed to finish 145th and get the last conditional card, which will give him entry to few low tier events in 2014.
Shiv Kapur is currently 19th on the Challenge Tour with one event to go next week, after which the Top 15 will get their European cards. Shiv
