Today Sania's womens doubles second round first up at around 5 Pm India time. And a couple of hours later Sharans will be on court and then Sania-Rohan for their mixed doubles second round matches.

Sania loses in women’s doubles but wins in Mixed Doubles with Rohan :clap:
Sharan/Murray lost a close match in Mixed doubles.

Sania and Rohan lost the first set 3-6 in their third round match against 14th seeds. After that the match was interrupted by rain. Will resume back today ( Wednesday).

Sania and Rohan are playing a marathon at Wimbledon. Won the second set 6-3 and are 8-8 in third set. No tie break till 12-12 in third set.

He’s a local kid from NJ. Super talented and didn’t actually start playing junior ITFs until after he turned 16. Had a lot of success in the USTA juniors (won 16s Easter Bowl etc). Plays a pretty attacking fearless game..

Yes, he has been getting good results at high level junir events since start of the year. Now, thru to Wimbledon semis.

Yes, semis of singles and doubles. He committed to Columbia University for next Fall. Hopefully he plays some pro events and doesn’t stay in college all four years.

Vesnina (Sania's former partner) and Kudermetova duly made it all the way to the doubles final, where (as so often in the past) Vesnina choked to lose the match 7-9 in the final set.

Our Wimbledon was somewhat salvaged by the NRI kid, Samir Banerjee, winning the boys' title. His father is Bengali, but mother-tongue is Telugu -- an authentic Indian-American of fully Indian parentage. He has done very well this year and is now ranked #2 in the world among juniors. But he now needs to play some pro events (Futures and Challengers) before he is lost to Columbia University (like Kanika Vaidya was).
