True, PKB. Horrible show. Horror show. I feel bad for our players. The Covid break did nobody any favors.

Re: ITF India Futures (4 weeks) March 2021
Just counted the number of wins over foreign players in these 4 weeks of futures so far-
Lucknow- 5
Indore - 3
Pune- 5
Delhi - 2 so far
So, only 15 wins over foreign players. I did not count the match-ups but I think should be above 40 I think. And out of these only 3 have been against higher ranked players. Only 3 and that too in qualfying or early rounds. Never seen such a poor show in home futures.
Lets see if they can salvage something this week.

One main draw win over a foreign player today, albeit a much lower-ranked one than the Indian winner:

[R1] LL-Nitin Kumar Sinha (IND, 1153) d. Abhinav Sanjeev Shanmugam (IND, 929) 62 60
[R1] Dalibor Svcena (CZE) d. WC-Rohan Mehra (IND) 63 62
[R1] 7-Luca Castelnuevo (SUI) d. SD Prajwal Dev (IND) 64 63
[R1] 2-Simon Carr (IRL) d. Aryan Goveas 60 61

Shockingly woeful performance from Aryan Goveas.

Re: ITF India Futures (4 weeks) March 2021
The top-ranked Indian player in the field, and the top seed for 3 of the 4 weeks, Sid Rawat, who was winning rounds in Challengers in 2019 and early-2020, failed to win a match in the four weeks. Today, he managed to win a set, but went down 64 46 16 to Filip Bergevi (SWE, 731), a player with a career-high ranking of 568 from late-2019 -- i.e., a player that Sid Rawat should always be expected to beat, especially in India. Dispiriting!

Re: ITF India Futures (4 weeks) March 2021
Yes, his game has totally fallen off as is of some other Indian players like Mukund.
These are the remaining Indian results of today-

[R1] Siddharth Vishwakarma (IND,1402) l. Marco Brugnerotto (ITA,887) 46 75 46
Siddharth Vishwakarma put up a very good fight but lost in the end.

Re: ITF India Futures (4 weeks) March 2021
It almost seems none of these guys take their tennis seriously. At least, post-covid and at least at this point.
We should look at the juniors for the hunger and drive to make some upsets and do what it takes.

Re: ITF India Futures (4 weeks) March 2021
But, that joy was short lived as everyone else lost.
[R2] (LL) Nitin Kumar Sinha (IND,1153) l. (3) Aidan Mchugh (GBR,544) 75 67(5) 67(7)
[R2] (8) Arjun Kadhe (IND,713) l. (Q) Alexander Kotzen (USA,1003) 06 46
[R2] (WC) Fardeen Qamar (IND,NR) l. (4) Oliver Crawford (USA,576) 26 16
[R2] (6) Manish Sureshkumar (IND,666) l. Zsombor Velcz (HUN,1755) 36 26
Disappointine one sided losses for Arjun and Manish. Manish had beaten the same player in 3 close sets last week.
But, very good fight by Nitin Kumar Sinha in a match which last more than 4 hours. Sad that he could not close it out.
So, only 1 Indian in QF.
[QF] Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha (IND,856) vs. Lorenzo Bocchi (ITA,757)
