Re: Roland Garros Claycourt Run-Up Tournaments 2024

I don't think Bops wants to play with RamK. I think he is okay with Yuki and may even play one or two prep events with him. So the option of trying with RamK probably doesn't exist.

Re: Roland Garros Claycourt Run-Up Tournaments 2024

^^^ RamK, if Bops would ever try playing with him for a few events (and if RamK were focusing only on doubles). But that is not an option, so Yuki is the best in my opinion. If not Yuki, then it should be Balaji and then Niki, as they who both have their serve and ground strokes at a decent top-600 ...

Re: Roland Garros Claycourt Run-Up Tournaments 2024

^^^ At this point Bops will have to team up with Yuki at the Olympics. Can't justify picking any of the others who are all below 90 and have not done anything like Yuki recently. Also because they have a decent chance to be among the 8 seeds, which is also important to avoid facing top teams too ear...

Re: Junior Circuits Abroad for Indian Kids...

Very good win by Arnav Paparkar over a home favorite Turkish top seed ranked #342 (who was inside top-300 earlier this year too), though wins at the J30 level is what we should expect from him. He went to Turkey to play only a J100 (lost in the R2 last week) and a J30 and is going to the Doha for tw...

Re: Junior Circuits Abroad for Indian Kids...

The big J300 in Kuching, Malaysia, starts on Tuesday. A good contingent of Indians are there. Rethin, Kriish, Aarjun and Hitesh (with Aradhya Kshitij, Kandhavel Mahalinam and Vishal prakash in the qualies) on the boys' side and Krisha and Maaya (with Rishitha Basireddy in the qualies) on the girls' ...

Yes, nothing new, but frequent logins have been needed for a few years. Not a big deal though; I got used to it. I think Dhruv has left it that way to keep the forum safe, as he is not constantly monitoring things on an hourly basis...

Re: Prarthana Thombare thread

Another doubles title for Prarthana. Seeded 2nd with Arianne Hartono (INA) as partner, she won the title at the W50 in Shenzen, CHN . They beat Ji-Hee Choi (KOR)/ Beatrice Gumulya (INA), 64 61, then Rutuja and YeXin Ma (CHN) in the R2, 63 63. The SF against the 3rd seed Chia Yi Tsao (TPE) and Wushua...

Re: Roland Garros Claycourt Run-Up Tournaments 2024

^^^ I think it was some technical issue with some sort of service attack or something. Those things happen. We alerted Dhruv, who found time to fix it.

Re: Ramkumar Ramanathan thread

After a 4-week break, RamK gets back to action soon this weekend.

At the Challenger 75 in Shenzen Louhou,CHN (Hard)

[Q1] (9) Ramkumar Ramanathan (IND,358) vs Dominik Palan (CZE,375)

He is also playing doubles with Ray Ho (TPE) and they should be the 4th seeds when the draw comes out.

Re: Roland Garros Claycourt Run-Up Tournaments 2024

Yeah, the clay season is really long, and so many more tournaments are coming up. He does not have to hurry too much right now. Plus, I don't think he is too much of a momentum guy, who goes on or off in form for too long, or loses form after breaks. If he is healthy, he is in form and will play his...

Re: Roland Garros Claycourt Run-Up Tournaments 2024

The site says Sumit has withdrawn from Madrid Qualie but is Alternate #19 in Main. What does that mean? Looks like he is not playing? ^^^ It means he does not plan to get there by Sunday and get there tired playing qualies on Monday/Tues, after just a 9 day break. But somehow if the cut drops to #1...
