Re: Candidates/World Championship Tournament 2016
Carlsen equalizes in 10th round. Wow! Can't get any more exciting with only two rounds left for this championship. Carlsen escaped in 9th round when Karjakin failed to take advantage of a blunder by Carlsen in time pressure by missing 39.Qb3. And in 10th Karjakin had a chance to draw by repetition o...

Re: Candidates/World Championship Tournament 2016
I didn't want to start a new thread, so I'm modifying this to include World Championship as continuation of the Candidate tournament. Astonishing result today as in Game 8 of the 12 game championship, Karjakin makes the first strike  and that also with black. Karjakin now leads Magnus Carlsen 4...

Re: Force India
Good race by Force India at Brazil. Force India has virtually clinched the 4th ranking this year as Williams will need at least one player on Podium in the final race. There best showing ever.

Re: Live Chess Ratings - Top 100
Sasikiran had a good tournament at European Club Cup where he won 5 out of 6 games (1 draw) . That certainly helped him to jump back in top 100. However, Sethuraman dropped out once again leaving, once again, 7 Indians in top 100. # Name Ratings Age 7 Anand 2779.0 46 11 Harikrishna 2769.7 30 53 Vidi...

Re: P Harikrishna-World Jr. Champ 04, WR#10 Sep 2016
Carlsen actually helped Karjakin to gain more points as every draw between them in the world championship match gives 1.1 points to Karjakin. Meanwhile Giri with a victory in the last round (Round 7) of European Club Cup and ousted Hari from top 10. Hari did not play Round 7. Hari will have to wait ...

With a victory in 1st round of European Club Cup today, Hari reaches a new peak- 2770.3 in his ELO rating. His earlier best was 2669.3. He continues to remain at his best ranking at #10, 1.7 points behind Karjakin. Good luck Hari for the next round.

Re: Live Chess Ratings - Top 100
Sethuraman is back in top 100, pushing Sasikiran out and maintaining the count of Indians in top 100 at 7. Adhiban falls continues, and Vidit is still just outside top 50. Harikrishna is back in top 10, still waiting to hit the single digit ranking. Anand and Nakamura are tied at 7th. # Name Ratings...

Re: Force India
Good result fro Force India as they try to separate themselves from Williams. 10 points lead is still very fragile and the two teams are still very competitive, however, it is "advantage" Force India. As long as Force India continue to bring back the two cars home, they are likely to score...

Re: Force India
It is still very tight between Williams and Force India. Who will be ahead after next race is anybody's guess. Talking about next race, in Japan 3rd practice session just started. In first two practice sessions, Force India has been better than Williams And after few hours, qualifying round will tak...

Re: Vidit Santosh Gujrathi WR#47 Oct 2016
Vidit lost to Eljanov Pavel. Eljanov (2754.8) is a top 20 player and playing great in this tournament, keeping the likes of Caruana, Nakamura and Wesley So behind. With this 2nd loss of the tournament (5 victories), Vidit falls from tied 2nd spot to 4th spot tied (in points) with 12 other players in...
