Re: Nishesh Basvareddy thread
He's timed it perfectly money wise! He probably missed out on most of his challenger paychecks and Q3 money at the US Open but he's guaranteed $150K for Next Gen Finals and $80K for the Aus Open, so now he can collect those paychecks in the next 2 months.

She was a top collegiate player at UCLA. Has had some but not spectacular success on the WTA/ITF tournaments.

Re: Junior Indian Hockey - men and women
Good to see India win! Based on world rankings, we should be significantly better than anyone else in Asia but it's good to see that our next generation is also better than others in Asia in the next generation.

Re: ITF Junior Circuit 2024 India
Since the US has a large slate of tournaments, so perhaps she doesn't feel the need to travel as much outside the US to get into professional tournaments. Nishesh B, for example, has almost exclusively played in the US (or Mexico) thus far although with Jeddah and Melbourne coming up that is about t...

Re: Australian Open 2025
I think a lot of the top players boycotted that Wimbledon, so winning would have an asterisk although Kodes was a top 15 player. Later that year, Vijay made the QF of the US Open in a full field, so that was a more impressive performance by him.

Gulveer Singh sets a new NR of 27:14:88 for the 10,000 meters in winning an event in Japan. Breaks his previous best NR by an astonishing 27 secs. Only 33rd best in the world this year but the best by an Asian this year.

Re: aggy and t-sips... US and other college rivalry posts
American football (both college and NFL) is by far the most popular sport in the US. The power, strength, and athleticism that you see is pretty amazing. As one random example, a 6'4" 235 lb wide receiver (i.e., a really big and heavy guy) in my local professional NFL team ran a 10:36 100m with...

Winning is effectively worth $85K, so that is a great prize for these players to shoot for.

Re: Nishesh Basvareddy thread
Pretty clear he's been pushing himself for the Next Gen Finals. He is 7th and the 8th and 9th players don't appear to be playing this week, so he should effectively be in. #10 Coleman Wang is playing but even if he wins the 75 point challenger he would be behind Nishesh but could possibly make it as...

Decent run by Ankita! I think she is highly motivated to be the India #1.

Re: Dhakshineshwar Suresh Ekambaram thread
Ozan Baris is a college king who imho has a low professional ceiling. He’s played a fair number of pro events and always loses to top 300 level players but consistently beats those outside top 400.

Re: Dhakshineshwar Suresh Ekambaram thread
^^^^Looking at his UTR he is closer to top 350-400 right now. However, his results are showing an distinct uptick in recent months. If he has some good ATP level weapons, a late bloomer run like Prajnesh is possible although probably not likely. His professional future most likely will be in doubles...
