Good start by LP & Stepanek to their partnership.

At Apia International ATP ,Sydeny

[R1] Leander Paes/Radek Stepanek (IND/CZE) d. Fabio Fognini/Dmitry Tursunov (ITA/RUS) 76(3) 63

But, real tough match in QF.

[QF] Leander Paes/Radek Stepanek (IND/CZE) v. (1) Bob Bryan/Mike Bryan (USA)

Bryans beat another new partnership of Aisam Qureshi & Julien Roger 75 64 in the first round.

Nice to see them winning easily. Bryan brother are going to be tough, but Leander/Stepanek is a good partnership too.

Bryans are double trouble, but Lee-Radek will step on their necks!

In tie-break also Lee and Radek were up with mini-break, 2-1, but again Bryans fought back and made it 4-5 ... Bryans had a match point at 6-5 but our pair saved on their serve ... Bryans had another match point with mini-break at 7-6 but this time our pair broke Bryans to save that ... Bryans converted 3rd match point at 8-7 with another mini-break and cmpleted victory in 1 hour and 35 minutes.

Overall encouraging performance from this new pair of Lee and Radek against Bryans.

A very encouraging performance. Tie breaks can go either way and Bryans with the bigger serve are at advantage. To have fought with them on equal terms is a big plus.

Well made my day..NO WORDS.... JUST INCREDIBLE...Feeling little sad for Mahesh but can not help it as Leander proved that he is the Boss out there and as a true Indian tennis fan now I want Mahesh and Rohan to take leaves out of his books and try hard..I am sure they can do it but the way Hesh played in mixed semis it was like retitrement on the corner....Truely praying for revival of Mahesh Bhupathi after this superlative inspiration story of his long time partner..Lets see :)

I agree Leander proved who is the boss. But we all know he is a bad boss. Under him we can only dream of success. He is great on his own. If we make the mistake of allowing him to partner Bops and I repeat, make the mistake, then I am sorry to say we will be in the loosing end. If Sania and Bops has no issues managing his ego issues its a personal call then and we can ask Bhupathi to step aside. Even then I doubt success. And remember Sania and Bhupathi made it to the SF. That says a lot!

Well Omkara me too have lots of sympathy for Hesh but from 2002 onward he could not win a single GS and whereas Leander achievement proved for himself. I agree with you that Hesh could be better partner for leander as the ego of the person is too much to handle sometimes and Hesh can handle it better. But you never know Bops and Leander can make very deadly team in Olympics with Bops power with the LEGEND doubles skill... With all the respect with Hesh have you seen his mixed doubles Semifinal match? If not please try to find the same youtube... Sadly that he is on decline and clear sign of that...I want him to roar back with Bops which I mentioned in my last post but sorry Paes- Sania and even Paes-Bops can be a better duo at the present form...

That is actually good sign...It means this ( Paes career GS) is burning them inside and may be just may be Hesh comes out of the mess ( It was terrible in mixed semis yesterday) and roar back with the help of Rohan power games and make us happy..Comee on Hesh you can do it for us :)
