Thank you great sir for educating us. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: If Sripada has said it, who am I to argue. After all he is Sripada. We should take whatever Sripada says as gospel because, certainly I do not want to go against that great guru and rot in hell. My soul is more important to protect than to try to find facts for my favorite hypothesis. From today, I am officially converted. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

BTW, Bawne indeed has been treated a bit shabbily. But, that is because he got in the bad books of the BCCI by cheating wrt his age. He said that his agent made the mistake. After that, he has had to prove himself at a much higher level. We'll see if he finally makes it. But, he should take the cue from SKY. Score heavily. Now is the time. Chances are that in tests, some of Iyer, Vihari, etc. may fail. And, if Pujara and Rahane do not come to form, they will not return. Whoever puts their hand up this season and maybe the next will be getting a five year stint assuming they themselves can cut it. If they cannot, then others will be tried. But, if they can, then Bawne's India hopes are gone.

I do feel bad for him even though he was possibly fudging his age a bit early on in his career. Don't mind him being given A-team chances. He was given a chance in the U-23s.

Age fraud is crimer good to see BCCI has untolerable policy for age fakers. They had issue with Bawne for age cheat , ban Manjot Kalra for faking age. Now the question is who will punish those retired set of players who played the game by age cheating. There must be few of them.If past Under 19 cricket is investigated there must be few of them with age cheats as many played 2/3 U19 World Cups. BCCI should cut their pension for 1 year because of age cheat . Can they do? No. Hence, its a double standard move affecting new players.

But really, why was SKY selected? His FC record is no great shake. Is it because he scored heavily in last couple of years or some logistic reason like being in England when reinforcement was needed. Or it was simply selectors hangover with IPL.

I think it is purely IPL factor as far as SkY goes. He had one very good ranji season 2019-20(around 53+). His 2018 season is like 33 runs.

There is just no reason to select him. At least in NZ series, there was a simultaneous A Tour. Team mgmt specifically requested for Sky.

I think there is a belief system that, this players who have faced high quality bowling may be able to manage better than domestic stalwarts. But them Gaikwad was not selected for T20 squad, even though he was the highest scorer. Well Mohinder called them bunch of jokers and this term probably applies to this batch.

See Sheldon IPl career. He has just played 3 innings in IPl. Your best bet to make the team is to join the team that has a overseas player as WK. his competition in KkR team is Sam Billings. This is his best chance to make some noise.

For example, N Jagadeeshan (wk) and Sai kishore(left arm spinner) had zero chance to make the chennai starting 11.

Kuldeep definately getting most of the matches in IPL 2022 as DC doesn't have any big name in their spinner category, so he is the only one premier spinner in their team.

There was another left arm chinaman Shivil Kaushik, he was hitting the chart as Kuldeep's rival in one of the IPL. It seems hype created, as he looks to be a lost talent

You are fully correct. Those selectors who once openly said in media that IPL performance will be given less preference over domestic has completely changed their views. Sheldon is 34 his time is 99% over , he is now in that rejected box.

With Saha gone, it will be now interesting to see how much destruction they does with Ishan Kishan, Samson, Bharat in backing that inconsistent fellow.
