Still expect China to win from here but what a performance. We will have to beat their world #1 or #2 again to win the tie.

The commentators for ESPN are like "what the fuck", "what are we watching" and laughing away at how ridiculous this is.

China won every match 3-0 in Chengdu in 2022. This is just absurd. In fact, they only lost 2 sets over 21 matches.

Manika vs world #1 Sun in the 4th match, Manika will lose so we will go 2-2 into a decisive match.

It is a bit strange that we did not play Sreeja in the second singles given she has clearly been our most inform player in recent times.

Manika, as expected, lost 1-3 against the WR #1.

Ayhika has lost her first set/game against the WR #4.

At least not in an actual sport played globally so not counting something like billiards.

This Chinese lady, Wang Miyu world #4, is really good at gamesmanship and slowing the game anytime Ayhika gets any momentum. Lots of good fight from Ayhika but she is 2 games down now.

Finally we lose 2-3 but still one of the greatest fight by our women. Even Manika Batra took a game of world #4 and world #1 which would have been good news on other days but not on the day when her 2 other teammates beat world #1 and world #2.

Hope this gives them momentum to qualify for Paris.

Absolutely stunning performance. Looks like CN has 6 of the top 7 players in the world ranking and we only have 3 in the top hundred (36, 49, and 96). So is the ranking not representative of quality because players play different slates of tournament or are we on the rise? That is, will be have top 10 or even top 20 players sometime soon.

I feel like Sreeja will overtake Manika sooner than later. What a classic player she is.

Not sure why our 3rd best player Yashaswini Ghorpade is not part of the team though
