Sure, you can do that. Or you can use the recent performance both international and domestic (trials, etc.).

Yes, same position that they finished in Asian games in qualification. All 3 of our archers had a better score than Asian games but others did even better. Anyway, with 5th position they are expected to meet Japan in QF and than Korea in SF, again same match-ups as Asian games. So, at best their journey will end in semi finals, no chance of team qualification.

Bangladesh to host 24th Asian Archery Championships in 2025


Bangladesh will host the 24th Asian Archery Championships in 2025 after winning by 14-10 votes in the bid at the World Archery Asia Congress held on Friday in Bangkok, Thailand.

A total of twenty four member countries of the Asian continent participated in the congress. Bangladesh and China applied for bids as host countries for the 24th Asian Archery Championship, reports Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha.

Simranjeet faced a tough challenge and unfortunately lost.

In the next round, Tisha goes up against Ankita, while Bhajan takes on Saleh from UAE

Tisha defeated Ankita and Bhajan Kaur won her match. So, both are thru to PQF. But, Bhajan meets Korean top seed and Tisha meets 5th seeded Chinese in the PQF.

In men, both Dhiraj and Tarundeep Rao reached PQF . Dhiraj will meet Asian games gold medalist from Mongolia in PQF and Tarundeep will meet archer from Bangladesh.

Anyway, these individual events do not matter in terms of olympic quotas. There are 2 individual quotas available here in both men and women but there will be separate competition for that after the end of team competition among those who have not qualified.

Tomorrow, our main hope for quotas, i.e team matches from PQF to semi final for men and women will take place which will be critical as one team will get team quota from both men and women along with 3 individual quotas for the team.

Both Dhiraj and Tarundeep lost in the recurve men QF but lost against a Taiwanese and a Korean there. Tisha and Bhajan lost in the PQF.

In compound individual, it will be an all Indian final in women but no Indian in mens final.

All important ( from olympics perspective), team matches coming up in afternoon.

We lost to Japan in the quarterfinals of the recurve mixed event on a shootout. Japan went on to win the bronze. You need to beat two teams of Japan's level to win a bronze at the Olympics.

Our womens recurve team as expected lost to Korea in the SF after winning first 2 matches in shoot-offs over Kazakhstan and Thailand. So, no quota for womens team here.

Korean and China will fight for the quota in the final.

Asian games results replicated here. If same happens in men, we can win a quota.

Our men lost to Kazakhstan in QF in a shootoff 26-27 ( after 4-4 in sets).

So, no quota here. Kazakhstan beat Taiwan in the SF and enters the final against Korea who already have a quota. So, Kazakhstan gets the 1 quota available here for men along with 3 individual archers.

Now, our only hope from this tournament is get a quota for an individual from the competitions which is to be held on Friday and Saturday.

2 Indian men, Dhiraj and Tarundeep are in QF of individual olympics qualification tournament, 2 Iranians, 1 each from Taiwan, Bangladesh, Hongkong and Saudi Arabia.

Only Ankita Bhakat reaches QF among women.

All 3 of them need to win 2 matches tomorrow to reach final and get individual quotas ( only 1 man can get a quota).

Korea, China, Japan, Indonesia, Mongolia are not participating here as they already have at least 1 quota for olympics. With this field, if we are not able to win a quota at least in 1 of the 2 genders ( preferably both) than nothing can help us.

Yes, I saw that match, She had to hit an 9 to take a 4-0 lead but hit a 8 and than it went all downhill after that where she also hit a 6. They are really choking when it matters. Uzbek girl went on to reach final and win a quota.

Korea, Japan, China, Taipei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Uzbekistan all have at least 1 quota in womens recurve but not India. How far have we fallen in womens recurve.

No ray of hope with these archers in women as of now. I guess Deepika Kumari will be back soon. She won gold at national games. At least she was qualifying comfortably and was also winning something in world cups much better than current archers. So, would not mind if she comes back although she too was faltering in Olympics eventually.
