Greatest doubles pair already.

Add the Olympic medal next year and if it is a gold, they will already be the GOATs of Indian badminton.

Other than Neeraj Chopra, I consider them now our best medal hope for Paris Olympics across sports.

P.s. We may need to move to these posts to specific Satwik-Chirag thread.

But that is also rate, last so many years we have not got more than 1 medal at BWF world junior championships and none at many of them.

Last year there was silver in boys singles for Sankar Subramanian before that in 2018 there was bronze for Lakshya Sen, in 2015 Siril Verma won silver, Sameer Verma bronze in 2011, Prannoy and Sai Praneeth bronze in 2010.

So, it is all about boys singles where we have won medals. Last one from girls side to win a medal was Saina Nehwal when she won gold in 2008.

Looks like our player mature later in badminton and do better than their junior days.

Good part is most of them did well at the senior level with the exception of Siril Verma and Sankar Subramanian.

That's true...But if we want to be super power in this sport, then we need to win medals at junior events too...China won 7 and Indonesia won 4 medals in the event!!

Don't think we can compare our badminton structure to China and Indonesia who are way ahead with their grass roots programme. Also in China and Indonesia, badminton us probably the #1 sport or at least close second ( I maybe wrong ) . So, that attracts best sporting talent. In India, badminton or any other sport is way behind our #1 sport.
