Jaidip Mukerjea's file from the Wimbledon archive is largely in line with what I had enumerated above:

Jaidip Mukerjea has a very unique record that no other Indian, not even the great Krishnans and Amritrajs have. He is the only Indian to reach the PQF (last 16) in singles of all 4 grand slams. Of course, RK sr never played AO and skipped USO in most years and Vijay Amritraj normally skipped both AO and FO.
