Re: Junior Circuits Abroad for Indian Kids...
Krisha Mahendran and Rohan Belday will move up somewhere near the 190-195 range in ranking now. It is pretty amazing that Krisha was ranked below 1000 just three months ago, but is the India #2 inside top-200 now. Rohan was at around top-150 earlier this year, but it is great to see him get some good wins which will only help his confidence level as he pushes up the ladder.

Yes, junior rankings. They need to move up and go deep in some J300 (grade 1) and J500 (grade A) events to move up to top 50 levels and take junior grand slams. But the trajectory is good. Krisha has 2 years left in the juniors after this but realistically the next year may be her last year inn the juniors.

Re: Junior Circuits Abroad for Indian Kids...
Krisha Mahendran (IND,224) won the San Jose (CRC) J100 today with a 16 62 64 comeback win over Allie Bittner (USA,286) . Congrats. This should take her into top-175. I assume she will stick to J200 and above from now on. She has been super-consistent since crashing into the scene very recently.

Re: Junior Circuits Abroad for Indian Kids...
That is great. Krisha has really come along fast within few months. Was playing only J30 and J60 tournaments till only about 2-3 months back.Yes, needs to play higher level events now. Not too many too play in next couple of months now unless she goes to Europe. So, in the meantime playing some lower level ITF womens tournament would also do.

Quality win by Aryan Shah! Somewhat expected loss by Manas although he seems to be playing better now....

Re: Junior Circuits Abroad for Indian Kids...
Aryan and Jangjun Kim (KOR), unseeded, have reached the SF of doubles at the Santa Croce J300 though. Beat Argentinian pair Fernando Cavallo and Segundo Goity Zapico, 64 75 in R1 and then beat the Italians Iannis Miletich and Felipe Virgili Berini, 61 63 just now. The Italians had upset the top seeds in the first round. A grade-1 doubles SF is good.
Aryan has picked up some 31.5 extra points at Santa Croce that should move him up about 4 or 5 spots from #57.

Re: Junior Circuits Abroad for Indian Kids...
^^^ Yes, but with only about 1/5th the weight in points (3/16 to be precise). The points themselves are 3/4th of the singles points for the corresponding rounds, and the points are then divided by 4 while adding to the point total. The singles PQF gave him 60 points but the doubles SF gave him only 26 points (while a singles SF would have given him 140 points)

Aryan and Jangjun lost to the 4th seeds Atakan Karahan (TUN) and Rei Sakamoto (JPN), 46 36 in the SF at the J300 in Santa Croce.
Aryan proceeds to the J500 (which is the earlier Grade A) at Milan. Manas is expected in the qualies there.

Re: Junior Circuits Abroad for Indian Kids...
Manas was 12th in the qualifying list (but would have been the top seed based on this week's rankings) is not in the qualifying draw at the Milan J500. I assume he got yet another wildcard to the main draw?
