Ooh, Krisha smoked the 7th seed Maria Araoz-Gosn (USA,364), 61 60... Hmm... That is 5 sets in a row with 3 bagels and 2 breadsticks. She plays the 2nd seed Claire An (USA,229) in the SF.

Krisha smoked the 2nd seed too, and picked up another breadstick... 64 61 over An Claire too.

In the final, she faces an unseeded 13-year old Italian, Angelica Sara (ITA,726), who seems to be super-talented. She has smoked everybody too, including the top seed. She too hasn't dropped a set and picked up 3 breadsticks and 2 bagels so far. Krisha has 3 each of those. This will be a dandy of a final at the Costa Rica J100 tomorrow.

Enough points so far for 2007-born Krisha to move past 2005-born Suhitha Maruri as the Indian #2 junior behind 2006-born Shruthi in the rankings.

Good win for Krisha!! The player she beat in semis, Claire An, won the girls' 16s singles title at the 2023 Easter Bowl last month!!

This 13 year old from Italy, Angelica Sara, seems to be something special. She beat Krisha 64 62 in the final :(

Krisha is at another J100 at Costa Rica and double bagelled Lucia Gallegos (CRC,2539) 60 60 in the R1. She is the 5th seed this week, as Maya Iyengar (USA,190) has joined as the top seed and also had a 60 60 win. These two are drawn to meet in the QF and it should be a good match if it happens.

Rohan Belday (USA,221) is the top seed at the Quebec City J100 in Canada, and has just had a straight sets win in the first round too.

Manas won his first round easily against a WC at J200 Salsomaggiore. Hoping he goes deep here. These points won’t count for FO but should help him for Wimby.

^^ I had reported it in the Manas thread (which was started a but prematurely, probably)... He had a day off today and plays the R2 in Wednesday

Meanwhile, Cahir Warik (IND,287) was at the J200 at Targu Jiu in Romania (at the Florin Mergea Aacademy)... He was the last entry, I believe. Anyway, he had a good win over Gabriel Ghetu (ROU,229), 62 26 61. He runs into the 6th seed tomorrow.

Rohan Belday made the QF at the J100 in Quebec City with a 64 64 over Eric Crivei, Canada. He needs to win the tournament to justify his #1 seed though. Plays the 5th seed Adam Faragcao (CAN) in the QF. Go Rohan!

Krisha had sudden struggles in the second set but won 60 75 against Sofia Quevedo (USA,1433). Maya had a 61 61 win, so these two seeds meet in the QF tomorrow. The Indian-American and Indian in America are doubles partners as well, seeded #1. They had a bye and are in the SF after a bye and a win. Meanwhile, another Indian American, the 7th seed Maya Dutta is also in the QF, as is yet another Ind-Am, unseeded Prathinav Chunduru, who upset the 2nd seed on the boys side today.

A nice upset win for 5th seed Krisha Mahendran (IND,224) against her doubles partner! She upset the top seed Maya Iyengar (USA,193), 62 64, to reach the semifinal. Krisha plays the 4th seed Natalia Perez (PUR,266), who is seeded higher than Krisha only becuase last week's rankings were used for seeding. Natalia beat the other Indian-American in the QF, Maya Dutta. Krisha and Maya Iyengar went down in a close 76(2) 67(6) [4-10] match against the third seeds in the doubles semifinal though.

Another final for 5th seed Krisha Mahendran (IND,224) at the J100 in San Jose, Costa Rica. She beat the 4th seed Natalia Perez (PUR,266), 64 63... In the final, she is up against the 8th seed Allie Bittner (USA,286).

Good win by the top seed Rohan Belday (USA,221) today at the Quebec City J100 in Canada, and he too has made a final... Beat the 3rd seed Stephane Pierre-Jo Kamendje (CAN,392) easily, 61 64, and the final is against the 2nd seed Kase Schinnerer (USA,365) tomorrow.
