Amazing run by Srikanth! Pleasant surprise after a forgettable year for our men perhaps outside of Ayush S having had a run or two.

That was a commendable achievement at least as good as winning on the regular tour. Moreover, we were really good then as he beat Lakshya Sen in the SF (so we had 2 of the final four) and Prannoy also reached the QF.

The Singapore Open starts today. SatChi are back. Hope they have recovered from their injuries and illnesses. If they can recreate their old magic we still have high hopes about badminton.

Prannoy, Sindhu and SatChi have moved into the 2nd round. In mixed doubles Rohan Kapoor and Rutvika Shivani Gadde also won their first round match. Lakshya Sen retired. Hope it's not serious.

Also Tresa-Gayathri had a close 3 game win.

Also, great show by Unnati Hooda who took world #2 to close 3 games and lost 15-21 in third game. It does look like Unnati is ready to take the next step now.

Yes, I too do not see it . :D

He lost 11-21 9-21 to Chinese world #4 Shi Feng Li in the final. I watched the match and it did seem that he was too tired particularly in the second game coming thru the qualifying here.

Thank you, Sameer and Arjun for posting the result. I had figured he lost due to 1) playing against a Chinese, and 2) lack of the post. So, I went online to find the result myself too. Anyway, good result for him. Not sure if he has the legs to do this consistently.

Most of our women lost in the first round in Singapore but generally impressive performances.

Malvika Bansod took world #9 to 3 games, Unnati took world #2 to 3 games and Aakarshi took world #4 to 3 games.

Satwik/Chirag defeated Current World #1 pair of Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin of Malaysia 21-17, 21-15 to make it to the SF.

Great win and run by this pair in first tournament since return from injury.
