Terrific stuff from RamK to hold to 3-1, as Ugo hit three great passing shots for a 30-40 BP. But RamK hits three aces in a row. He had to play mistake free there. 64 46 31... RamK played well, and hit a great BH passing shot after 40-0 but hit a BHCC wide on one of the longer rallies (8 shots ) and Ugo holds. 3-2 and serving. A strong service game with no mistakes. Now 4-2... Ugo mishit, 0-30, but holds though RamK played very cleanly, going for his shots and not messing around. This sort of positive tennis with confidence is what he needs to play. 4-3 and serving. Holds to 5-3... Ugo is all mad and yelling loudly and all that... what is up with him? ... He serves 2 or 3 aces and holds. RamK serving for the match at 5-4 now.

Now this gets more interesting at the Chinese WC Fajing Sun took out the 4th seed Borna Coric but its is now the FQR and anything can happen , so Ram has a good chance to overcome the 353rd ranked Chinese with a CH of #327

The most positive tennis I have seen from RamK in a long time. He was going for the strong shots he has, and not messing around at all. The only exception was that final game of the second set where he reverted to self-doubting and overthinking. You can win with the strong shots you have, RamK. You don't need to think of getting cute on anything and trying to trick the other player. Just play your strong game and you will beat pretty much anybody below top-200 and will get your share of top-150 wins too, like today.

Just play tennis like today. Hit the damn ball and return on your BH side with conviction, rather than have the defeated attitude from the moment the ball leaves the servers racket to your BH side. Like you did today.

And once again, we don't want to see even a single slice on your forehand side. Just forget that BS.

In Stockholm on my way back to Hkg at 6 am Ram came to say good bye , but being early in the morning Uber said 20 minutes to arrive and during that time generally discussed the schedule , and at that time he was not even in the official top 20 Alt quali list for Shanghai and was in the 30’s of the Entry list ,But Sometimes the gut feeling works , being a big draw the cut drops and it was decided to head to Shanghai and how well the decision is turning out to be.
In todays match according to Ram the Frenchman was also playing awesome Tennis , getting and creating angles with his power shots , but Ram with a much better play on this day than the Frenchman , had the last word.

10 points earned so far , a win tomorrow will get him 20 points and R1 entry another 10 , so potentially Ram looking at total 40 points.
