The 38th edition of the National Games will take place in Uttarakhand this year. At the end of the 37th edition of the event, Vice President, Jagdeep Dhankhar and IOC President PT Usha had presented a flag of the Indian Olympic Association (IOC) to Uttarakhand giving it the hosting rights for the 38th edition of the Games.
The dates have not been confirmed although it is scheduled to take place in November.
Roads will also be thoroughly inspected, especially the ones leading to the Baur Reservoir. The indoor stadium at Rudrapur is also getting ready as renovations are taking place. The developments are linked to a legacy plan as it hopes to improve the current conditions of the sporting scenario in the state.
