Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2025
I don't like New Zealand. They are at full strength or close. This is the only match where I miss Bumrah. But, I guess Shami will have to make do. We need to trust the pitch and bowl at the right slots. Then, the pitch will do its job.
So, what do you do if you win the toss? Bat first?
I really hope Rohit plays a more measured innings. On this wicket, you do not need 300. Our aim should be 280-290 if we are setting first. If we bowl, get them by 240.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2025
Its all started with Australia claiming India getting advantage of playing in same venue. England, Pakistan followed it and now South Africa joins the team. 2026 T20 World Cup, Champions trophy 2029 will also be played on Hybrid Model as per agreement. CT 2025 issue will again re open the discussion of these venues for the upcomming ICC events

We need to stop paying attention to outside noise. Do the work and win the trophy. That is it.

Once again, you have nothing positive to say when India wins. Instead, you post this mindless drivel. Why? This is getting old. Surprise us occasionally, will ya?Rajkumar Sharma wrote: Thu Mar 06, 2025 12:05 pm Its all started with Australia claiming India getting advantage of playing in same venue. Playing at the same venue is an advantage. But, playing in seaming conditions for the test championship is a much bigger advantage for SENA teams. There are always advantages and disadvantages teams get.

Atleast venues should have been like T20 WC say Sharjah or Abhu Dhabi or in Oman . SA hardly makes negative comments on Indian team.

Atleast some have agreed https://crictoday.com/cricket/daily-cri ... ns-trophy/
Lets take your harrowing positivity and demand the title for our team without playing any final

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2025
Its all started with England 75,79 &, 83 and now WTC. Richest Boards have their last laugh. Our team has lost on both conditions so its doesn't holds. BTW process of bringing WTC final in sub continent is certainly now on cards. Hope it happens back to backprasen9 wrote: Thu Mar 06, 2025 3:32 pm Playing at the same venue is an advantage. Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2025
^^ I have no idea what you’re saying, Raj. I was just asking why you don’t post much when India wins whereas you’re quick to jump and tell us why Bhui etc.should be drafted immediately when India loses.
Just want to point one more thing. A flight from Pakistan to Dubai is about 1.5 h. I’d think even local flights within Pakistan would be at least an hour. With chaotic traffic etc., perhaps the same time to travel from one venue to another. So, this crying about traveling to Dubai seem over hyped. But, it’s true that India has a distinct advantage although spin has been our nemesis and Dubai pitches are more conducive to spinners.
Also not sure about your reference to WTC. Maybe you’re saying the same thing. How’s making India play in UK for WTC twice not questioned in the same way?

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2025
His post said that England hosted the ODI WC three times in '75, '79, '83 without being questioned. This was blatantly wrong and partisan. Then, again they did the same with the WTC's. His point is that the English board is a rich board and has power. And, the rich boards dictate things for partisan favor. It is another thing that England is blatantly incompetent wrt building a champion team or was in that time and now in tests, etc. So, they could not win then despite that advantage.
We should have a rotation rule where the English get no more WCs and championships until other teams have hosted the same number as them. Joint WCs should count less than a sole hosting.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2025
It is a long story how India got the WC to move out of England. If people are interested I can write the story here and the behind the scenes manipulations that happened.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2025
It is a sad state of affair when countries monopolize these things. England just because of colonial reasons. Not really because of market-driven forces ...

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2025
Good win. NZ kept coming back but we were always in control.
Unfortunate that we lost the WC final because of dew otherwise we would have won 3 ICC tournaments in a row without losing a single match.
