Awesome win by Sahaja! Finally, we have someone taking advantage of our home events. I believe she also won one of the ITF events in this series a couple of weeks back.

Sahaja is really hitting a stride now. After two matches where she lost in three sets after taking the first set, I was very concerned when she dropped the second set and then fell a break behind early in the 3rd set. But Sahaja had other ideas. The lady has spunk. She wasn't going to let the monkey from the previous two matches to sit on her back. Great job in a fabulous upset.

Awesome win by Sahaja! Finally, we have someone taking advantage of our home events. I believe she also won one of the ITF events in this series a couple of weeks back.

Not exactly in this series but Sahaja won a title in tournament in December where she had her first top 200 win in the final.

In 3 weeks of ITF 50's in this series, she had first round losses against those ranked #242, #142 and #253. Last 2 losses were after winning the first set. So, I am glad that she turned that around yesterday against an even higher ranked opponent.

Hibino is known to be inconsistent, so hoping Shrivalli with her brave attacking style of play can take advantage of her opponent’s erratic pattern. On paper, Rutuja should win this match against the Thai. No expectations from Ankita to produce an upset.

Shrivalli has come back strongly in the second set and won it 6-1.

Wasted a couple of BPs in the 3rd game to go 2 breaks up, but also saved a BP in the next game... 3-1

Shrivalli saved 2 breakpoints from 15-40 to get to deuce but lost the next 2 points. 3-3 back on serve, it is getting very tight now.

Shrivalli missed a bp in 11th game. Then, went up 40-0 serving at 5-6 only to brought to deuce but won the next 2 points.
