Hey Everyone,
I'm looking out for the badminton shoes in India under INR 6000 (~$80) with the below requirements:
- Good ankle support (twisted my ankle couple of times in Asics Courtmov+)
- Durable (earlier Victor Sprint AD All Round linings got damaged working 3 months)
Can you please recommend some best shoes for an intermediate badminton player.
Good badminton shoes suggestion in India?

Welcome to the forum!
I don't play bad or good "minton", and so can't recommend any shoes for you, but maybe this forum page might help you:
which are the best badminton shoes brands in India?
Or this article page:

But I still wonder what a "minton" is, though?

Oxford Dictionary says:
Oxford also says about the etymology of badminton
I don't know. But, the Mintons are possibly people from "Min" town - mine town? So, Thomas (whose ancestors) came from Minton ... but this is pottery not the shuttlecock or something like that.pottery made at Stoke-on-Trent by Thomas Minton (1766–1836) or his factory. Minton's company popularized the willow pattern.

So, the wild goose chase continues. Where did Badminton House get its name from?mid 19th century: apparently named after Badminton House in SW England, country seat of the Duke of Beaufort.

Re: Good badminton shoes suggestion in India?
Hmmm.... The thought plickens... Or is it plot thickens?
From the above website,
From the above website,
So the game sorta originated in Pune, after all. Who know?Like we said before, badminton was a game originally introduced by British soldiers that returned from India.
The sport had a long, rich history from ancient civilizations, but the game that these soldiers imported to Great Britain was called Poona, which itself was derived from an Indian city called Pune. This game is typically played by 10 people, with 5 players on each side of the court. Like badminton, Poona also uses a racket as its bat. However, instead of a shuttlecock, Poona players use a ball made out of wool. This is not where their differences end. Since Poona requires more players on the court, its court size is also larger compared to badminton’s. If you are curious how this game is played, then you’re in luck, since this sport is still played up until this day in India. It shares a lot of similarities with its British brother, like how the ball should be served alternately by players as each of them scores. All of these things originate from Poona.

And, so, the multi-player badminton is actually the original game, the real thing, and not singles. Long live doubles, at least it is closer to 5.
