in the one sport it deserves to be top-10 at world level

I couldn't agree more on this!!!! Volleyball is the only sport in which we can be in world top 10 , apart from cricket and hockey!!!! In Rugby and basketball we are too behind to catch up!!!! Similar is case with ice hockey !!! In Football, work is being done but getting results in football is not as easy as it is the most competitive sport in the world!!!!
Our best bet is volleyball in team sports, but Shame on our federation , they are doing their best to let india volleyball not rise

-Services Sports Promotion Board (SSPB) and West Bengal won the men’s and women’s artistic team gold medals on the opening day of the gymnastics competition in the 37th National Games at the Peddem Indoor Sports Complex in Goa on Monday.


-With the official inauguration of the Games still a few days away, four gold medals have been decided so far with Karnataka (men’s team badminton) and Assam (women’s team badminton) sharing the other two.


-Five more gold medals are on offer on Tuesday in the individual badminton events.Former men’s singles champion Sourabh Varma of Madhya Pradesh will look to add another gold to his tally after getting the better of Maharashtra’s Harsheel Dani 19-21, 21-14, 21-17 in the semifinal on Monday.The 30-year-old will now face Telangana’s M. Tharun, who got the better of second seed M Mithun 12-21, 21-14, 22-20 in an hour and seven minutes.
In women’s singles semifinals, Uttarakhand’s Aditi Bhatt saved two match points in the second game to beat M Meghana Reddy of Telangana 7-21, 24-22, 21-16. She will now face national champion Anupama Upadhayaya of Haryana, who packed off top seed Aakarshi Kashyap of Chattisgarh 21-13, 21-17.

Telangana shuttler M Tharun and Haryana’s Anupama Upadhayaya clinched the men’s and women’s singles badminton gold, winning their respective finals in contrasting styles at the 37th National Games on Tuesday.

Karnataka won both the men’s and women’s doubles titles in badminton.Women’s doubles top seeds Shikha Gautam and Ashwini Bhat defeated Maharashtra’s Ritika Thaker and Simran Singhi 21-11 21-18, while the pair of HV Sunil and K Pruthvi Roy upset top seeds Hariharan Amsakarunan and R Ruban Kumar of Tamil Nadu 15-21 21-18 21-18 in the men’s doubles.

The Andhra Pradesh mixed doubles badminton pair of Gouse Shaikh and D Pooja clinched gold with a 21-8 21-17 victory over top seeds Navaneeth Bokka and K Maneesha.

It depends on what sport you are talking about!!!! Sports like badminton which is very competitive in India has a great chance to replicate medal internationally. Similarly, athletics national champion has good chance to win medal in Asian games!!! However, sports like rugby, swimming etc where India is nobody, nationals medal counts very little!!!

37th National Games: Dipali Gursale and Prashant Koli set new national records to secure weightlifting gold medals


In the women's 45 kg category, Gursale set a new national record for the Snatch with a successful lift of 75 kg. She went on to lift a total of 165 kg, securing Maharashtra's first gold medal in this edition of the National Games.
Koli, on the other hand, narrowly outperformed Maharashtra's Mukund Aher to claim the gold medal in the men's 55 kg category, beating Aher's national snatch record by one kilogram

The decision to remove Volleyball was contested by some players and court has issued a notice to state and union sports ministry for plea scheduled to be heard today 29th. Hoping decision will be revoked and the competition will be conducted as per original schedule from Nov 2nd.

National Games 2023: Maharashtra clinch Raja Bhalindra trophy for first time since 1994

Table-toppers Maharashtra clinched three gold medals in Yogasana and one more from shooting on the final day of the 37th National Games to clinch the Raja Bhalindra Singh Rolling Trophy for overall championship for the first time since 1994.
