Korea, Japan and China have come with experimental squads. India has their main team with a few new players. Mumtaz isn't being given a chance and as usual, there no PC specialist, with the predictable conversion rate.

Our main competition will be China. So far, we've been wasting lots of chances in open play as well as PCs.

India qualify for Asian Champions Trophy 2024 semifinals with 13-0 win over Thailand

ndia beat Thailand 13-0 in the women's Asian Champions Trophy in Rajgir, Bihar to qualify for the semifinals, after an impressive attacking display.

Deepika scored five goals, including two dragflicks from penalty corners. There was a brace each for Preeti Dubey, Lalremsiami and Manisha Chauhan, and also goals for Beauty Dungdung and Navneet Kaur, as Harendra Singh's team piled on the goals against a Thailand side who had conceded 15 goals to China earlier in the competition.

A good thing is that Apart from Deepika, Manisha chauhan also did Draggflick ...I don't know why Anu is not being given chance. She has also good draggflick!!! If we develop 3 good draggflickers- Deepika, Manisha and Anu, we will in very good position

India won 3-0 against China. That is pretty good result for our team. Not quite sure if China has at least some part of the sqaud which won silver at Paris Olympics though.

China have only 3 players from the Paris Olympics team.

Yes, but it seems all of these teams are not playing their full first choice team while we are.

Btw, we beat China 1-0 in the final to win the Asian champions trophy again.

Looks like this 20 year old Deepika Sehrawat is a pretty good talent? How good is she, apart from drag flicking?

She is good overall, but still lacking in draggflicking.....in semis against japan we got almost 15-16 pc but converts none, however we win by 2 goals , 1 field goal and 1 ps.....similar was story against other teams( except thailand)

Good to see so many clean sheets.

The team looks fitter and some good play but finishing and PC conversions were both very poor. It will be interesting what progress we have made under Harendra's coaching when we play in the Pro League.

To get results against the better teams, we need to develop 2-3 drag flickers or at least try variations. And also stop sidelining talent like Mumtaz Khan.
