Sharath Achanta is scheduled to play today in the first round against his compatriot Anirban Ghosh. All eyes on Sharath as he plays his final tournament of his career.

At 42, Sharath Achanta showed he could still compete at the highest level by winning his opening Men’s Singles match against Anirban Ghosh 3-0 (11-7, 11-9, 12-10). The Indian veteran rolled back the years as he won the first two games comfortably, before saving two game points in the third to dispatch Ghosh in just under 22 minutes.
