Yeah Chennai is a strong contender to go into the finals. They had beaten Pune 10-5 in the league.
Pune has played some good matches lately. And having home advantage and crowd support, it will be an exciting match.
Looking forward to it.

Reeth Tennison wins it for Goa!

Goa Challengers triumph over Chennai Lions (8-7) to win their maiden UTT title. What a thrilling final going down to the last game of the tie.

Harmeet Desai won his tie (2-1) against the undefeated Benedikt Duda to start the proceedings for the Goa franchise.
Yangzi Liu of Chennai continued her winning streak to clinch the next tie for Chennai. It was 3-3 after the first two tie.
The mixed doubles saw the experienced Chennai team winning the tie and getting the lead for Chennai 5-4.
The 4th tie was where Goa inched closer to winning the trophy. A very dominating performance by Alvaro Robles of Goa blanking Sharath Kamal with 3-0. The overall score after the 4th tie was 7-5 in favour of Goa Challengers.
The final tie between Sutirtha Mukherjee and Reeth Tennison was as exciting as it could be. Sutirtha won the first two games (saving a couple of championship points) to make the tie score 7-7.
Reeth finally got the better of her Chennai counterpart taking the last game and winning the tie for Goa.

PRESS RELEASE:
Ultimate Table Tennis welcomes Jaipur Patriots as newest franchise

Mumbai, August 22, 2023: Ultimate Table Tennis has announced Jaipur Patriots, owned by World of Krida Pvt Ltd, as the seventh franchise and the latest addition to the league’s dynamic franchise roster.

The franchise-based league, promoted by Niraj Bajaj and Vita Dani under the auspices of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI), successfully concluded its fourth season in July and continues to grow in stature with the addition of another franchise.

“We are thrilled to announce the addition of Jaipur Patriots to UTT. The inclusion of a seventh team will enhance the level of competition. The way UTT has shaped up over the years, we expect only bigger and better seasons ahead,” commented UTT promoter Niraj Bajaj.

Jaipur Patriots will join Goa Challengers, Chennai Lions, Dabang Delhi TTC, U Mumba TT, Bengaluru Smashers and Puneri Paltan Table Tennis for Season 5. The franchisee will extend the league’s reach to a state and enable further popularisation of the sport in the country.

“Ultimate Table Tennis welcomes World of Krida Pvt Ltd to the family. Their inclusion is a testament to how UTT has grown over the years and how it will continue to grow. We are committed to promoting the game of table tennis and we believe that Jaipur Patriots will help us take the sport to a new region,” added UTT Co-promoter Vita Dani.

With a strong passion for sports, World of Krida aims to contribute to the overall growth of the sporting ecosystem in the country. It has also acquired multiple sports teams across various sporting leagues in India as well as globally with a focus on talent development, fan engagement and infrastructure development to create a lasting impact on the sporting landscape.

“We at World of Krida Pvt. Ltd. are proud to expand the Patriots family with the addition of our team Jaipur Patriots in the Ultimate Table Tennis. As an organisation our aim is to expand the reach of various sports in India and globally. With the addition of Jaipur Patriots in the UTT, we are confident that in the near future we will not only be the platform for the best paddling talents from the state in the league but for the sport nationally,” said Parina Parekh, Co-owner, Jaipur Patriots.

Ultimate Table Tennis has been a game-changer for Indian table tennis since its inception in 2017. Besides providing a much-needed world-class platform to Indian paddlers and bringing the top international stars to India, the league has also proved to be a dynamic tournament in the sport’s global ecosystem.

Wow 👏 👏 That's very good news for TT...Why nobody is giving it hype!!!
The Hockey india league and Premier badminton league are some of the examples which have completely transformed indian sport! I hope they could expand it upto12 to 14 teams some day
