Shrivalli lost the second set 67(5) against top seed. 2 hours 11 mins and both sets won and lost with same scoreline. It may come down who has better fitness.

I think in at least 2/3rds of the cases this won't be the Indian if the Indian has won the first set and it goes to a third set. That was the case again today :( ... But a good run by Shrivalli

Gotta admire the dedication Shrivalli showed in coming here to play this week, after having won the recently held Nationals last week (beating Vaidehi in the final). Typically, Indian players tend to take a week off when they go deep in the previous week.

^^ Yeah, actually I was surprised that she had enough in the tank to play this well today!

Shrivalli who is 6th seed this week has reached the QF this week as well with couple of straight set wins. Will be up against 4th seeded Hiroko Kuwata (JPN,587) in QF.

Beating a higher ranked player outside India is rare. Good job.

Shrivalli is up 63 31 in the SF. Hope she can keep the momentum going.... And she does just that!

[SF] (6) Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty (IND,762) d. (5) Punnin Kovapitukted (THA,649), 63 62

Shrivalli has been on a good roll. What I also like is that she serves a good number of aces in her matches these days. Not too many double faults. Dhe had 7 aces and 2 DFs today. She is 7-1 in eight matches at these two W15s in Hua Hin, all all 7 wins have been in straight sets. Only loss was to Cheapchandej in 3 sets last week in the SF. Very nice run by the 21 year old. I am getting quite excited about Shrivalli.

[F] (6) Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty (IND,762) vs (2) Ayumi Koshiishi (JPN,579)

And the week before that she won Fenesta national tennis title in New Delhi. So, she has played 13 matches in last 3 weeks and won 12 of them. Her first W15 final and hope she wins her first title tomorrow.

Be careful. Don’t say it this way in your class, Prof. Sahib.

Shirvalli got outplayed in the final.

[F] (6) Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty (IND,762) l (2) Ayumi Koshiishi (JPN,579) 26 16

Maybe all those matches in last 3 weeks took it's toll and she had nothing left in the tank. Evident from the fact that Shrivalli had 0 aces and 10 double faults today, complete contrast to how she served in the earlier matches this week.

Anyway, 10 points for these 2 weeks for Shrivalli. Too few points these W15 tournaments give. She will move up just about outside top 700.

She should try the W25 next. She how well she does.there. W15 looks like Satellite tournaments. There are there to give you a foot at the door. Can't build a career out of it.
