Re: Roland Garros 2023
So far, only one alt team has made it to the main draw of doubles. That leaves BalaJee as the #3rd team to enter after Cornea/Zhang (who’s still alive in the singles draw), O’Connell/Thompson (both out in singles).
17 R1 doubles matches yet to be played. Can we get 3 more teams to withdraw, please?
Edit: Cornea/Zhang makes it to the draw as the second alt team (replacing Cacic/Lajovic). 2 more now!

Re: Roland Garros 2023
By the way, the mixed doubles draw is out and this is the first time I have not seen Bopanna’s name in the draw. No Indian interest there at this year’s RG.

Re: Roland Garros 2023
Quentin Halys and Guido Pella faced each other today in singles and the Argentine won this humdinger of a match in 4h24m. And these two are supposed to play doubles tomorrow with their respective partners. Maybe Pella will withdraw wanting to save his body for R64 Singles. Re: Roland Garros 2023
Yes.
[R1] N.Sriram Balaji (IND)/ Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan (IND) l. Illya Ivashka (BLR) / Alexy Popyrin (AUS) 36 46
This pair has not been doing that well in last few weeks. So, perhaps lacked confidence to pull off a win here. Anyway, good to get a slam experience.
Yuki-Saki are leading 4-1 with 1 break against French wild card pairing.

Re: Roland Garros 2023
That is a tough loss for Bops and Ebden. After winning a masters title on clay to lose in first round here. But, watched the second set and the other team was really on fire. French pair reached an ATP SF last week and a big challenger final the week before. So, that was a tough draw for Bops-Ebden.
