Great! That is the kind of thing a focused team on a mission to do well, does! Even if they don't win, they will make enough money to cover this week's expenses.

So they aren't playing the India Challengers. I suppose they have graduated from that level...

First round loss is roughly $3400 for the pair. Win in India might give them double of that. Costs in India are lower. So I guess economics suggest they should come to India.
However, they need to go deep in India every week, as even one win tilts the equation in favour of the ATP tour game. This week draw is unlucky. Maybe it will be different next week. Plus more prestige to play an ATP tournament

Re: Anirudh Chandrasekar/ N. Vijay Sundar Prashanth Thread
^^^ If they keep on losing in first round of ATP events than playing challengers makes more sense than playing ATP events monetarily and points wise. But, once they start even winning 1 or 2 matches at ATP level, it will be much more advantageous monetarily and points wise.
Yesterday, they gave a tough fight against third seeds Lloyd Glasspool and Henry Patten and lost 36 63 7-10.
I watched some part of that match and after looking a bit lost in first set, they came back strongly in second set and post that they were almost even with third seeds, particularly Anirudh looked really good.
Hopefully, they will get a breakthrough at ATP level soon. Else, they can always come back to challenger level and pick up points to rise up the rankings again.

Yeah, if they are competitive at the ATP level like they were yesterday, they will get their breaks soon. They have to take the chances that come their way. They can always fall back to challenger levels when needed. Jay

They can play challgers all round the year. Should they get direct entry into a ATP tournament, they should play it. The ranking volatility can be managed.

They do not have much luck with the draws this week as well. Ani-VSP are playing second seeds All American team of Lammons and Withrow this week at Dallas ATP 250. Lammons and Withrow were runner up last year in this tournament beating Yuki and Saketh in the semi finals.

Nothing to worry. They will recover their points with one good showing in a 125k challenger. Last week they stretched the higher seeds. Focus should be to win this time. Who knows, they might pull an upset.sameerph wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 3:53 am They do not have much luck with the draws this week as well. Perfect answer to this discussion above. That they do belong in the ATP circuit, beating ATP #19, 22 in the doubles charts.
Dallas ATP 250:
R1 Anirudh Chandrasekhar/ N Vijay Sundar Prashanth 6-4 7-6 (2) Nathaniel Lammons/ Jack Withrow (USA).

Prachanda? Befitting. I think it’s a Sanskrit word so the meaning is the same in all Indian languages.

What Sanskrit? They are a couple of Chennai Chaps. Sanskrit is an alien language for the Dravida region. But Prachanda means "passionate, fierce, hot" etc - so that is fitting.
