Chirag and Satwik have been taking one step after another since last year on doubles circuit since last year. CWG gold than world championships medal than Asian championships gold and now first super 1000 title. Also entered top 5 in world rankings.

Re: Chirag-Satwiksairaj
The best Indian doubles pair in any sport since LP-MB, without a doubt. Terrific!

Re: Chirag-Satwiksairaj
Only the 6th Indians to win a "GrandSlam" level tournament in badminton after Padukone, Gopi, Saina, Srikanth and Sindhu. Elite company.

Re: Chirag-Satwiksairaj
I would rate our men’s hockey team to be more world class after their Olympic medal in a sport played in more sport power countries. Hopefully, SatChi can win an Olympic medal in 2024!

Re: Chirag-Satwiksairaj
I agree with Arjun in that I'd rate the hockey team more highly based on achievements thus far. However, there is no doubt Chirag-Satwiksairaj is world-class in that they are in the top-6 in the world. For a non-team ranking, that is indeed world-class. Not world-beaters or world-champions or top-of-the-world yet but world-class certainly. The bronze in the world championship certainly makes them world class.

Re: Chirag-Satwiksairaj
I'd like to see more consistency from them. Agree that they have a gold ceiling for next year.
However, if the Olympics were to be held next month, I think that Sindhu would be our best bet for a medal as she plays big on the big occasions.

Re: Chirag-Satwiksairaj
SatChi are at No.3. Only 4 Indians have achieved higher rankings. Prakash, Saina and Srikanth have been No. 1 and Sindhu has been No. 2.

Re: Chirag-Satwiksairaj
Best ever doubles, not only mens doubles. I don't think we had any top 10 pair even in mens doubles. I think Jwala-Ashwini were top 10 in womens doubles.

Right
Re: Chirag-Satwiksairaj
Jwali-Diju were 7th Ranked at their peak in MxD (around 2009) and they were runner up in that year Super Series Finals (As SS finals is considered final event for all super series, it is 1 level upper than S-1000 you can say)

Re: Chirag-Satwiksairaj
Even Jwala and Ashwini were ranked 10th after their world championship bronze. Jwala and Diju reached a career high of 6. However no doubles pair has come remotely close to SatChi's achievements.
