Why not Hooda ?
Hooda has bowled around 5.2 overs in list A when he bowled. He did not bowl in half off his matches. His average is 36 with bat and 28 with ball.

Parag has 42 with bat and 30 with ball, but has bowled 7.2 overs per innings . He has bowled in 43 innings out of 48 matches. Parag is just 21, but seems like he has been around forever. He absolutely dominated in the recent deodhar trophy where he had average of 88 with SR 136 and 19 with ball getting more wickets than sundar.

In asia emerging cup, He did fail with limited opportunities (bowled 5 overs per innings with 39 average, but got critical wickets) and failed with the bat. The two times he got a chance to bat. He has really failed in IPL and will probably be not considered until he succeeds there

Wish SL had bowled first. Would have been really interesting to see how our batsman fared in this conditions batting first.by the way, Hardik has been breathing fire lately with the ball. If Hardik can sustain this , india may have a punter chance of making the semis.

We will probably live and die withour top order.

Also, it looked like KL Rahul did reasonably well with gloves taking some good catches. Are u all comfortable playing KL over Ishan as a keeper?

Bad technique is usually shown up against spinners. Athleticism helps when keeping to pacers. Of course, technique is needed but you get a bit more time and can make up for wrong initial movements. I would prefer Kishan keep in the WC.

Using the Asia cup to discuss Asian games cricket rather than creating new thread or sabotaging the Asian game thread

India scored 202/4 in 20 overs against Nepal with Jaiswal scoring a century.. India goes with 7 lefties in their lineup (Jaiswal, Tilak, Rinku, Dube, Sundar, SaiKishore and Arshdeep). Have they ever played that many lefties in a lineup before

I thought Shahbaz was going to play asian games.. when did Saikishore get roped in?

Tilak Verma after a great start to his T20 career is struggling a bit.. scored just 2 off 10 balls against Nepal..

Nepal has a very young team and looks very promising.. They are making a match out of it.. Shivam Dube getting smoked.. 3 sixers in a row of his bowling.. Nepal needs around 80 runs in 6 overs. India may huff and puff their way to win.. Except for Bishnoi and Ravi Saikishore , none of the bowlers look threatening.

Sharmaji's argument that Arshdeep is no longer good is coming true.. He is also getting smoked. :-). He gets hit for three sixers.. India was 149/3 at 16 overs while Nepal keeping up with run at 147 but losing more wickets (6) in 16 overs.. what a spirited show by Nepal team.. With all youngsters, I predict they will make the T20 wc and probably surprise quite a few team in next 3-4 years.

Arshdeep Singh has forgotten how to bowl in international cricket after his county stinct. Since WI games he has been leaking lots of runs.

Did Sundar get injured again? Why did he bowl just one over?

Interesting one to watch would be Afghanistan vs Sri Lanka. The Afghans have sent a couple of their top players. This is the only sport where they have a realistic chance of a medal.

Yashasvi and Rinku Singh have been good so far. Tilak Varma slow but scores runs (usually). Gaikwad is also running out of time. Slow and not enough runs. Dube maybe okay with the bat but shaky with the ball? Who are the batsmen in this team? The batting lineup looks quite dodgy. I would maybe bring in Prabhsimran.

Tripathi and Singh are the other batsman. Our bowling concerns me lot more. If Sundar cannot bowl 3-4 overs, there is no reason for him to be in team

None of our second string pace bowlers have taken the next step
