Re: India in Australia, 2020-21
Amazing series. One of the best ever. This is one of our greatest test wins too, I guess. Talk about a rag-tag patchwork team being better than our original team at the start. To think that we also had our worst-ever score in this series! Just marvellous.

Incredible. Pant and Gill were absolutely fantastic. Some silly, needlessly reckless batting at the end. Wonder if Ashwin will remind Paine about 'getting to the Gabba' comment

Wow, fabulous win for India! Pant brought it home in the end but Shubman Gill got us started. Pujara ensured that we wouldn't lose. Definitely one for the youngsters in our team.

Cricinfo headline - "Magnificent India take epic series in the last hour of the last day of the last test"
Would've been better if Rishabh and Shardul (Bull and Lion) were on the crease at the end.

An innings of maturity and incredible skill from Rishabh Pant. He did a few silly things right at the end, but just about held his nerve to take India over the line. That India were that close in the first place was entirely due to him -- and to the beautiful Sundar cameo.

Any doubt that deadwood who has “earned the right to call when to retire” needs to be chucked at the right time? And that Kohli is not the one to captain this team? Unfortunately, Shastri gets another life.

And this is why I always vouch for Pant in red ball cricket. Guy is a genuine matchwinner, something Dhoni never was in tests and Saha never will be.
Rahane should be made the full time test captain, and Rohit the ODI captain. Time for Kohli to focus on batting for the last third of his career.
Unlike you guys, I am not against Shastri. His job is not as a coach but as a manager and to keep the guys happy and motivated.
In the moment, this is my favourite Indian series away from home.

Lot of credit for preparing this team must go to Rahul Dravid. The core of this team is the India A and India junior team coached by him. As a tribute to the great man Pujara truly played a Dravid-esque innings.

It's easily forgotten now that we would have won at Adelaide too had Kohli not been run out by Rahane (100% because of the latter's atrocious changed call). Kohli was dominating the Aussie attack and was headed for a double century. There would have been no second innings for India at Adelaide had that run out not happened.

Shubman Gill is probably the find of the series for India. Superb performances in all 3 tests from him helped stabilize the batting. The other finds are this test's other heroes -- debutant Sundar, near-debutant Shardul Thakur, and the indomitable Mohammed Siraj.

Re: India in Australia, 2020-21
Jadeja played only 2 of the tests, but surely was one of the heroes of the series for India. He averaged 85 with the bat (two crucial innings of 57 and 28*, the latter partly with a broken thumb), and 15 with the ball (7/105, including a crucial 4/62 in Sydney). And not to forget his electrifying fielding, including the run out of Smith at the MCG.
