Better second round for Arjun Atwal -- even par. But he was still stuck at T90, which means he will miss the cut (I think). Daniel Chopra had another horror round (+5), and fell to T122.

Re: US PGA Tour 2020-2021
Good round of -3 by Anirban in Round 3 and he is now in solo 5th position. Hoping for a strong round on Sunday to get a high finish.
Looks like is currently in the 125th position in the Fedex rankings (which is the last position with a full card per my recollection), so a strong finish is much needed. His current 5th place would move him to 97th place in the Fedex Cup rankings and give him some margin of safety although quite a few tournaments are still to go...

Agree. He needs to make a move in the Fedex rankings to secure his card for next year and also to keep getting into the playing fields of this years events.arjun2761 wrote: Sun Apr 04, 2021 1:46 am Good round of -3 by Anirban in Round 3 and he is now in solo 5th position. Re: US PGA Tour 2020-2021
Another solid -3 round by Anirban to finish solo 5th in Valero Texas Open.
He played solid golf all through and had a couple of other birdie chances which would have had him go even lower although probably not any higher in the placings. More importantly, he looks to be back in form and hopefully will play well here on out.
He also moves up from the precarious 125th to 94th position on the Fedex cup standings (which determines card status for next year among other things).

Re: US PGA Tour 2020-2021
Great steady round from Anirban gives him a rare top 5 finish.
Moves him to 94th and should go a long way in securing his card for 2022.
Well played Anirban and wish he continues this form for next few events too..and make it count.
for the remaining season.

Great to see Anirban Lahiri regaining form, and finishing among the leaders in a high-quality PGA Tour event.
