expected behavior as I reset all cookies server side and changed a few parameters. So everyone likely will have to login atleast the first time.

Should be fixed. Hmm. Not sure I can replicate so unfortunately will have to live with it. May have to do with fact that passwords and browsers now are expecting SSL and I don't have SSL.
