41 needed in 27 balls, 7 wickets to give.... Can the women do it? Vastrakar out... Now 6 to give. 41 in 26 balls. Harmanpreet is still there.

Now Harmanpreet also gone. Suddenly we are falling out of contention. 41 needed in 25 balls but only 5 wickets to give. From a sure winning position, we are almost out of it :(

Nadeem starts in style, like Neeraj, with a PB of 86.81 in javelin.... Leads for now. Happy for him.

28 needed in 18 balls. 5 wkts to give. Not out of it. 5 leg byes helped just now. Boundary by Rana. 23 needed off 16.
And Rana is run out. Now 23 off 15 with only 4 wkts to go, but Yastika Bhatia is still there and can bat, says cricinfo.
It is Radha Yadav coming in. 4 by sharma. Now 18 needed off 13 balls. 17 needed off the last two overs.
Yadav run out. 7 down. Yastika in. Sharma 4. Now 13 needed off 10 balls.
Sharma run out. Meghna in. 12 needed in 7 balls, only 2 wkts to give.
Yastika with a single and gets to the last over. 151/8... 11 needed in one over.
Dot. Bhatia 1 but Meghna run out. 10 needed off the last 4. Last pair. Yastika or bust now.
Yastika lbw. We get silver. That is that.

They had a chance to create some history and some excitement. Even got me excited. But they fell flat.

Back to regularly scheduled programming. The bug game again out of my attention span. Pointless :)

Sreeja and Sharath Kamal at 11-4, 9-11, 11-5.... Need one more game. Come on India!

Javelin -- Whoa, 88m from Nadeem! For once I can cheer him on :) ... DP Manu and Rohit Yadav are inn the 5th and 6th spots. They could still make the distance for a bronze, but Nadeem probably won't be caught today. Peters and Walcott at 3rd and 4th and Kenyan Yego at silver spot.

And Sreeja Akula and Sharath Kamal Achanta beat the Malaysians, Javen Choong/ Karen Lyne, 11-4, 9-11, 11-5, 11-6... Gold #18 for us !!!!

Achanta Sharath Kamal continues to pile up commonwealth golds, he is quite amazing and this girl Sreeja Akula deserved something for the effort she has put in here. She narrowly missed individual bronze earlier in the day.

Our men's 4 by 400 relay team finished 7th in the final with 3:05.51... They were the only non-African and non-Caribbean team. Trinidad, Botswana and Kenya at the top... At least we did better than Nigeria!

Sagar's fight must have just started.
