Manas went down 1-5 in the first set, came back to get both breaks back for 4-5 but than lost his serve to lose the first set 4-6.

In second set, Manas started strongly and went double break for 5-2 but got broken while serving for the set but broke again to take the second set 6-3.

Manas lost 46 64 46. That is somewhat disappointing loss for Manas as although his opponent Tammaro was ranked higher, his current form was not that good. He was only 1-5 this year, only 6 matches against 29 played by Manas ( 23-6).

I think this kind of matches happens after serious training stints after physical workouts and technical adjustments. May need a couple of weeks to get the rhythm back. Let us wait... It was a close match after all. The other guy may be coming back to form too.

Training and actual match play is quite different. So, sometimes the match play sharpness takes a couple of matches to get back. This was a close match, so the match play sharpness on a couple of points could have made the difference. Let's see how he does in the next couple of weeks.

I just checked and on Dinesh's last post there was a heated exchange between him and Rajiv and both have been missing on forum since.

Looks like both got upset at the same time. I will check with Rajiv. I have him number. Do not have Dinesh's.

Dinesh got cheesed off at me too, I think, as he thought I was questioning UTR's ranking scheme, which I think quite highly of, to the contrary. I was only wondering if they had a data issue in the case of Sahaja whose ranking was shown with an "xx" (which it still is)... Not sure if he saw my reply explaining that.

It is just sports, so I wish people would not get that upset that quickly :( :(

This is good as it looks like from the second week onwards in this M25 series there, the entry list gets much tougher. Currently, Manas in only 20th in qualifying draw in second week's M25.
Manas will be playing qualifiers of 2nd of M25 Santa Margherita Di Payla Italy series, he is now seeded 2nd , first round is against a WC 19 year old unranked Italian player and second round could be against 16th seed 1500 odd ranked Italian player, so it's good opportunity for Manas to get some matches in before playing maindraw and he should make maindraw comfortably.

A little tougher win than I thought. Still needs to win R-1 to get 1 point.

Again a tougher match than I expected. Glad that Manas pulled it off in the end .

Next he is up against Giovanni Oradini (ITA,561). Ordani had a surprisingly easy 60 62 upset win over 6th seed ranked in top 400.

The extra 1 points will take Manas inside 760, but winning the next round for 2 more points should take him inside 740 and he can make the FO junior main draw entry list.
