Maybe the plan is for our players to just run sprints up and down the field. Good luck to them!More alarmingly, David John has been appointed coach!! This guy was the physical trainer and has ZERO hockey coaching background!

Re: FIH Men's Pro League
We beat Germany 3-2 in Rourkela today in FIH pro league match. That is a good result against recent world champions.
We play 2 matches against Germany and 2 against Australian in next 4-5 days.

Re: FIH Men's Pro League
Good result. We won thanks to counter attacking and good use of the video referral (thankfully the video umpire was excellent) because both umpires were awful.
Harmanpreet was yellow carded for protesting a clear PC denied to us! A big bonus was NOT having Mandeep & Akashdeep!
A few silly dribbles in midfield but generally we looked fairly good. Harmanpreet missed a PS(he's just having a bad spell with set pieces). Manpreet was the best player today.
Let's hope we don't collapse meekly against the Aussies.

Re: FIH Men's Pro League
Of course, all our matches have been at home, but on ppg basis, we are second in FIH Pro League and very close to being first.

Re: FIH Men's Pro League
India leading Australia 4-1 in hockey!! Even if it's only half-time, I haven't seen that type of scoreline since Montreal 1976.
Is Australia playing an experimental team or something??

Re: FIH Men's Pro League
Saw the unbelievable scoreline at half time and had resigned myself to seeing a 4-4 at best or a 5-4 loss Our team nearly obliged!
Cynicism aside, this is a brilliant result.

Re: FIH Men's Pro League
David John is the interim coach. Fulton joins after this round of Pro League matches, I think.
Australia are only missing Heywood and Blake Govers and Tom Craig is injured, I think. We have only 2-3 passengers, which is a big turnaround for us. Australia lost twice to Spain recently, so they seem to be going through a bad patch. Is Australia playing an experimental team or something??

Re: FIH Men's Pro League
Splendid result! I'll take any win against Australia! That we were leading 4-1 is icing on the cake. That it ended 5-4 is still a great result for us. If we can make a habit of beating Australia by any margin, we'll be in much better shape for CWG, Olympics, World Cup, etc., where we have consistently lost to Australia over the past 47 years.
