I’m truly amazed how much money both of these 250 ATP tournaments in China, which are taking place at the same time are offering compared to the Pune Open.

Wonderful to see two Indians in the singles main draws of two separate ATP tournaments this week — and both pretty big ones in Asia.

This is the fourth ATP tournament which Prajnesh will be appearing this year - Stuttgart,Atlanta,Los Cabos and now Chengdu and he had not played any before this year. Financially, this is a much rewarding year for Prajnesh. He has earned $114K this year which is much more than his career rankings till end 2017 of US$96K.

In terms of points, he is defending 33 points this week from Tiburon challenger SF last year. So, he will have to win 1 round in main draw to defend those points.

RamK takes the first set 7-5 against Vesely. He was always dominating that set and earned 11 break points. He could not convert first 10 but finally Vesely double faulted on 11th break point opportunity for RamK. On the other hand, RamK did not face a single break point on his serve despite getting only 45% first serves in. He won 13 out of 14 points on his first serve.

Hope he continues this form now.
