Divij has become so smart, traveling to bigger tournaments, staying around the venues to sneak into the main draw as ALT these days :D Gets into his first masters with Artem Sitak and faces Marc and Feliciano Lopez. Our pair is up 5-3 in the first set. GO!

And they win.

Paris Masters ATP 1000

[R1] Divij SHARAN/ Artem SITAK 6-4 6-3 Marc LOPEZ/Feliciano LOPEZ

He gets 90 points too which replaces his 18th best 45 points. He now gets 90 points ahead of Rohan in the race for India #1. I guess it now hinges on Rohan's first round match here. If he wins that, he will equal Divij and just get ahead of Divij in the ranking because of lower number of tournaments. However, if Rohan loses in first round here, Divij certain to finish the year as India #1. ( unless of course if Rohan decides to play Bangalore challenger and wins it).

Divij and Artem lost in the second round against the 2nd seeds Bryan and Sock in straight sets ... With this, Divij has finished with a season and taking longish off-season for working on his game and fitness ... In the off-season, he and Artem will also take a call on their partnership for 2019.

At € 5.4M Rolex Paris Masters 2018, France

[R2] (Alt) Divij Sharan (IND)/ Artem Sitak (NZL) l (2) Mike Bryan (USA)/ Jack Sock (USA) 46 36

And with that win by Rohan and loss by Divij, Rohan goes ahead of Divij in the live rankings at 35 to Divij's 36. Unless Divij plays and wins Bangalore challenger, Rohan will end the year as India #1.
