Re: Fake news and social media in India
The rampant spread of fake news across social media platforms in India poses a grave threat to societal cohesion and democratic dialogue. Misinformation fuels polarization and escalates tensions. Platforms and users must exercise vigilance, scrutinize sources, and champion digital literacy efforts. Strengthening regulations and adopting fact-checking mechanisms are vital in tackling this pressing issue. gb whatsapp pro v17.00 download

Re: Fake news and social media in India
Nothing specific per se. However, I believe about half or 40% of India uses WhatsApp, which is higher than many of the bigger countries, at least. On WhatsApp things are encrypted and the propagation of fake news is hard to detect and flag. Not that we are doing a great job in countries where fake news is sent out in public. But, WhatsApp seems to pose an almost intractable problem. And, where literacy is fledgling, digital literacy is perhaps harder to teach on a mass scale. It will perhaps organically happen but that will make it slower.
