Re: Aditi Ashok
That is all tremendously good! She should be better known in India though. We have had very few top-50 performers in true world sports like Tennis and Golf. And she remains a medal prospect in Olympics, as always, too. Came within 1 cm of a medal last time. Go Aditi!!!

Re: Aditi Ashok
Strong performances by Aditi! Looks like it is based on some off season work that she did to improve her game, so hopefully she has a very good year overall fully recognizing that some weeks will be better or worse than others....

Re: Aditi Ashok
What a year Aditi Ashok is having. Definitely her professional breakthrough year -- although she made an Olympics breakthrough 7 years ago, and came within a whisker of a medal at Tokyo two years ago. Congratulations on being ranked in the top-50 in the world!
Re: Aditi Ashok

Found this another Indian American name (Ami Gianchandani) in US golf. @prajgolf, know anything about her?

Whatever happened to that sensation Megha Ganne? She just faded away?
Edit: Megha is at Stanford:

Both are amateur golfers who are playing College Golf. They will not play professional golf until they graduate. However, occasionally they might get some invite on the LPGA tour event.

Re: Aditi Ashok
Aditi is continuing her very strong performances on the LPGA tour! With this form, a title shouldn’t be far away maybe even this week.

Re: Aditi Ashok
It seems she has gained 20-30 yards in the long game and that is helping her. Very good work done during the off season.

But when I checked the stats her average driving distance in 2022 was 235yds and it has increased to 252yds in 2023. So there is an increase of 18yds. Which is significant and surely helping her but is less than what she stated. Also, interestingly, her putting numbers have gone down. Does it mean driving is more important that putting? I am sure both are important but I am saying in relative terms.

Re: Aditi Ashok
Her putts per GIR is almost same the past three years(1.82j, so don’t think her putting has become worse. Essentially, the number of putts have probably gone up because she is hitting lot more greens. She has gone from 148 last year to 32 in ranking for GIR(greens in regulation) close to 6% improvement. Meaning she is hitting four more greens in every tournament and has putted almost 3 more putt in each tournament.
She will finish T4 with3 others . Had a chance to be T3, but a bogey on last hole did not help. Watched the last 1 hour and they showed her just three times (birdie putt, birdie putt and bogey putt)
