Re: Malyasia Open SSP/ Singapore open SS- April 1-12, 2015
Praneeth lost in the last match for us.
[R1] B. Sai Praneeth (IND,37) l. (2) Jan O JORGENSEN (DEN,2) 11-21 18-21
These are tomorrow's match-ups for us.
[R2] PARUPALLI Kashyap (IND,17) vs. (4) SON Wan Ho (Kor,5)
[R2] H. S. Prannoy (IND,14) vs. (2) Jan O JORGENSEN (DEN,2)
[R2] K. Srikanth (IND,4) vs. Tanongsak SAENSOMBOONSUK (THA,19)
[R2] Jwala GUTTA /Ashwini PONNAPPA (IND) vs. (3) WANG Xiaoli (CHN) / YU Yang
Srikanth and Prannoy beat their respective opponents 2 weeks back in India. Hope they repeat that although it will be a big ask for Prannoy against world no. 2. Kashyap also has a lot to prove having fallen behind some of his colleagues in recent weeks. Can he pull off an upset ?

I told you that Kashyap has a point to prove and he did it with a superb win against the 4th seed.

Now, Prannoy is starting out against second seed.

Re: Malyasia Open SSP/ Singapore open SS- April 1-12, 2015
Srikanth lost though as did Jwala and Ashwini in doubles.
[R2] K. Srikanth (IND,4) l. Tanongsak SAENSOMBOONSUK (THA,19) 15-21 20-22
[R2] Jwala GUTTA /Ashwini PONNAPPA (IND) l. (3) WANG Xiaoli (CHN) / YU Yang 22-24 18-21
It does look like a day of upsets as apart from 2 upsets caused by the Indians, top seed Chen Long got upset by Honkong's Hu Yun. There is only 1 seed left in the mens singles draw - Victor Axelson who is yet to play his second round match. If he loses, there will be no seed in QF. Quite an open chance for anyone to grab the title.

Fantastic wins for our players in the QFs, hopefully one of them can now go on and win the title!

As easy as it gets at this level for Kashyap; while Prannoy plays the third best of the u25 generation in Momota. The latter rivalry will be one to watch for going forward.

Re: Malyasia Open SSP/ Singapore open SS- April 1-12, 2015
Damn, Prannoy had to withdraw from his SF due to foot injury sustained in his QF win over Jorgensen. I was really expecting him to go deep this week, even a title as such a run is now due from him to follow in the footsteps of Srikanth. Now, it will have to wait for a while.
Hoping even more that Kashyap would win now.
